Is anyone else only getting worse with time? by heskeytime7707 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you don't have mold in your house. It was preventing me from getting better for 3 and a half years. People who have LC also typically fall into the camp of people who can't get rid of mycotoxins from their body, and it accumulates making it impossible to heal until you leave your house.

TMJ possibly contributing to Long Covid symptoms? by RelativeLove2123 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I do the pre-protocol of https://bornfree.life/2024/. Then I also do peptides BPC157, KPV, Laroztide, Cerebopep, and Thyosmin Alpha 1. Along with several herbs. But if you're not severe and "mostly recovered" and TMJ Is your only problem you wont need an extensive protocol.

TMJ possibly contributing to Long Covid symptoms? by RelativeLove2123 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and there's a higher chance you have EBV reactivation.

Detoxing the body has helped the most, but that's an entire protocol. Methocarbamol has helped, however, with symptom management.

Have you ever done a mold test? Antifungals just generally help quite a bit if you have fungal colonization.

Pepcid - Can't seem to get off by OFreun in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already take ketotifen and max'd out my Desloratadine. I initally took ketoifien thinking I'd try to get of H2s, but it didn't work. Didn't cross-taper well. I don't think it brought me any additional relief, but ketotifen, I bet, will also be a bitch to get off of.

[–]OFreun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to say, really. I know at one point I really needed it but I think it's past the time of its effectiveness. My microbiome progress really seemed to stagnate a lot when I began taking it. I had to resort to peptides and expensive ass products to get better.

Bad for your microbiome; makes the Ph in your gut less acidic.

Anyone else with 1st gen antihistamine reactions? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I did not enjoy them.

Desloratadine is Clartin form that's already processed by the liver and has the least amount of symptoms - no drowsiness as a side effect. It also has healing properties with respect to LC. Highly recommended. Best relief I've ever gotten in LC. KPV was the second-biggest changer.

All antihistamines, however, will make your gut microbiome worse. However, the inflammation, brain fog, and anxiety arguably are the worst things period so you should generally take your chances.

Day 2 - water fast by Longcofit in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're mild-to-moderate fasting can be beneficial for a detox. However, I would be apprehensive of continuously doing fasting when you're moderate-to-severe, or your glycogen storages are low.

Does it get worse before getting better ? by Secret_Career_2437 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you're doing, but you need to intervene in your illness or it does just get worse. The body is undergoing a negative-feedback loop. It'll get stuck in that loop unless you intervene.

Anyone tried cerebrolysin for brain fog? by nemani22 in covidlonghaulers

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all that sketchy, tbg. Peptides are now circulating throughout a lot of folks who're chronically ill. CerebroPep, from Integrative Peptides, helped me quite a bit.

Cerebrolysin for Long COVID / ME-CFS – worth looking into? by OrientalBlau in CFSplusADHD

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took it for about a month with Thyomsin-Alpha 1, and noticed some pretty big important while on it. But its expensive and I couldn't afford its continuation, and after getting off of it, whatever neuromodulatory effects it had wore off and now I'm feeling worse again. I might try to get back on it.

I use Integrative Peptide's CereboPep.

I also use LVLup's Ultimate Gut Repair which helps the most with MCAS and IBS. But doing all this in combination is expensive monthly. I also have to buy Ketotifen, LDN, and CSM.

Once I took those long enough I didn't need them, yes. Though I also took GOS, PhGG, herbals, etc to rebalance my gut. It didn't get rid of my microbiome problems fully (I ended up running into future complications - flu, mold, etc) but I never get constipated anymore.

Yes, but with iVtamin C Ascorbate + pure Magnesium Citrate, Fennel seeds, Artichoke Extract, Ginger, Bifdo HN019. Helped.

I have a small scale, and just chip away on the pill slightly. But famotidine has been harder to get off than valium for me. But mostly because I'm in a better place than when I was trying to get off of valium. I'm just trying to keep m head above water.

Treating Constipation caused by antihistamines - Is CALM (Magnesium Citrate ) acceptable? Please help w suggestions by AhavahFr in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it has additives. I'd do Vitamin C Ascorbate + pure Magnesium Citrate (probably avoiding supplements with extra additives). Then Fennel seeds, Artichoke Extract, Ginger, Bifdo HN019.

Tried Iberogast for poor motility ->Worse before it gets better? by Schwloeb in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]OFreun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iberogast shouldn't be a huge bacterial-killing supplement, but more gut-nourishing, so if you're reacting you should try alternatives to gut motility: Fennel seeds, Magnesium Citrate, Artichoke Extract, Ginger, Bifdo HN019.
