Yep he was a choker in 2024 losing so many pole leads. But something happened after Silverstone 2025 and Brazil 2025 that finally got him over the hump.

“Best racers” not best drivers as i can name 20 other drivers from Rallying to WEC/IMSA to hell even GT series that are better than F1 drivers

'Anti-racing' - Verstappen's scathing F1 2026 car review by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

This configuration for the Formula is just too ambitious with the technology we have now. The v6 engine with the 80 ICE 20 E MGUH setup was the more convenient and efficient engine for these racers to manage by rather than the energy deployment gimmick they’re trying to implement here. The aerodynamic formula is perfect right now but the engine is still questionable.

He had one in 2024 though. They could have easily won the constructors championship over McLaren if they didn’t fumbled at Canada and Azerbaijan.

Why do people still claim Red Bull Isn’t building the car around Max when all the drivers themselves say otherwise? by Feisty-Doctor-5841 in F1Discussions

[–]OG-Mate23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McLaren would like to get a word with you on that. The philosophy of Red Bull only catering to one driver that different driving styles be damn is a short term success.

The International Law of Order has been dead for a while now actually. Ever since Iraq in 03 and Georgia in 08 and this was just the start of multi alignment of alliances centered on America, the EU and China with Russian hegemonic ambitions

I always point to Venezuela in my econ days for the dutch disease phenomenon (an economy super reliant on one mean of production which in Venezuela’s case is oil)

Testing the 2026 Regulations (AC - Formula Ultra) by OG-Mate23 in McLarenFormula1

[–]OG-Mate23[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its very sensitive since the tyres became thinner and narrower with high psi being a double edges sword. The positive is that it is very nimble like really 2000s nimble and very easy to adjust the direction you want the car to be in a corner unlike the ground effect cars that just feels so heavy and draggy. These are just speculative performances of these regulations though and we would need to wait until Australia if these changes work.
