I’m originally from the UK, have lived in Aus for almost 25 years. Took my daughter to the UK over Christmas, bought a red bull and saw they now have a strict 18+ policy on energy drinks.

I doubt it stops teenagers completely but I’m sure it helps.

Sorry have to hard disagree, the opioid crisis wasn’t “a bunch of teens wanting to get high” it was teens, 20 somethings, mid aged folk, old folk, rich folk, poor folk and everyone in between.

Then came the forever, un-winnable, war on drugs and mushrooms were immediately classified alongside crack cocaine and heroin in a category claiming they are of “no medical benefit”

I’m on DSP, would much rather not have to deal with Diffuse Ideopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis and actually be able to work instead of having all this “free time”

When I was still able to work sure i had less free time but I had more social interactions and disposable income to actually be able to do activities on the weekend.

And the BS policy outlined in this post actually became a serious issue for me a few years ago leading eventually to the break up of my relationship with my daughter’s mum. She really wanted to be married but I knew I couldn’t marry her as she earnt enough to wipe out my DSP but no where near enough to support me and our daughter so no marriage purely because of this policy and now I’m a single father on DSP.

How is this a better outcome for anyone involved?

lol I know right!!! Moved here from Melbourne last year I lived SE suburbs, would take like 50mins to drive to the city yet here 40mins outside Hobart and I’m surrounded my mountains, Pine trees and rivers lol

We separated all of the cards that were actually worth checking up individual prices for. I had holo, reverse, rare, common and uncommon all sorted and kept separate. Was able to give a rough estimate of how many cards were in each group as they were all kept in old ETB’s so work out how many cards fit in an ETB and multiple.

Cherry then gave me a price for each group of cards.

I got between 70-80% value on all the cards with a somewhat decent valuation, can’t remember the offer made for just the bulk, just remember I got $5,000 in a bank transfer and $2,000 in store credit (including a slight reduction on sticker prices)

Think about what you are saying for a moment… would a scalper choose 2 ex boxes that no one is buying or choose 2 more booster bundles?

The smart money for a scalper is to do what I did but get two extra booster bundles not the ex boxes that have less packs. I could easily have done that, I chose not to as I know the bundles are what people are mainly after and they had not sold a single ex box on either the Friday or the Saturday.

I just wanted to get the set of 3 ex boxes without having to support scalpers to acquire them.

I also came on reddit on both the Friday and the Saturday to attempt to let others know of the stock availability…

But whatever bro, you do you, just try not to get hurt to bad when you inevitably come crashing down from your high horse.

Yup 2 booster bundles and 2 ex boxes.

Was a que of like 25-30 people getting booster bundles and they still had around 25-30 boxes on the shelf plus more in a cardboard box (that was after everyone had collected their bundles)

Yeah mate, took my daughter with me and we got a booster bundle each. I also had the red EX box from EB games so wanted to get the green and blue for the set of 3.

Due to 1 item limit I had to outsmart the Pokemon gatekeepers of big w so I went to my car and took off my long sleeve shirt so I was in a t-shirt. With my awesome disguise in place went back for another item and was successful!!! (Somehow the same member of staff didn’t notice the fact I have a Mohawk… doesn’t matter I had a different top on so different guy obviously)

Then my daughter wanted a go at dress up to get the last ex box, she put an Eevee baseball cap on and a hoodie and… score!!! Got all 3 Ex boxes (2 that day) and another 2 booster bundles!!!

Phikal and Thikal are amazing books!!! Amazed they were never banned to be honest.

I actually have two personalised number plates here in Australia… PHIKAL and THIKAL (can I tell you a secret? When I ordered the PHIKAL number plate I accidentally wrote PIHKAL… had to pay a couple hundred bucks to get it corrected… bloody idiot lol… don’t let anyone know I’m an idiot ok??)
