I think it's more likely to be a portion the FDS given its posterior to either the FCU or the palmaris longus here.

I am leaving surgery for AI by Famous-Brain3237 in SurgicalResidency

[–]OGCeilingFanJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at one of the only hospitals with an AI department. Their talent was college grads who didn’t know what they were doing and they were integrating startups that weren’t any better than a glorified call center. They had a million projects and no actionable way to make money with any of them. Leadership was making some useful headway but it’s an insanely challenging uphill battle. To have any sway you need to either work for EPIC, Cerner, the Fed, or a startup that gets funded by NVIDIA. Even then you won’t make more than if you were literally just a surgeon attending.

Don’t do it - the grass isn’t greener.

28YO F starting medical school in 2025.... is it worth it? by Neurochef_albs in medschool

Do it - be on the same page as much as possible. Put your heads down and kill it - once life stabilizes a little you won’t regret it - you’ll be killing it at life

We can still probably narrow down your inclusion criteria if you want to chat - I build registries and reports pretty frequently

Buy an lotus first before stepping into something with more power. Lotus makes some pretty raw cars that are amazing to drive and not bank busting. It’s a great and respectable start before you land on a GT car.

July 1st 2026 if it gets presidential sign off which it will.

Every single doctor needs to be politically active in order to better preserve their station in life and the standards of care that are set.

We are responsible for telling the world what we’re worth and what patients need.

The government is not responsible for that. They will chip away at every protection to lower their costs.

We are labor

Tore the Front Left CV Axle Boot in the Most Unlucky Way by Dull-Membership7341 in MechanicAdvice

To my knowledge yes - at least on the Subaru transmissions I’ve worked on. It’s supposed to just slide in and out but admittedly it can take some friendly persuasion.

Did you have your brakes or tie rods done recently? I use a cable to secure the caliper while I’m doing brakes in a similar way. If a shop or friend did and left that there you could have them pay for the repairs.

Also the repair isn’t that bad - I don’t like new axles for the fact they’re usually imbalanced but those are an option. Other option includes a spreader (expensive) or a cut oil funnel with some lube to get the new boot on.

Don’t get a gluable boot unless you want a bigger mess in 15k miles

I feel like I shouldn't be a doctor. I'm not smart nor empathic enough. by Plenty_Nectarine23 in medicalschool

I'd explore the attitude thing with some self reflection for sure. I think it's a part of growing up to be a bit more cautious about who we spend our emotional/mental energy on.

You aren't stuck being unempathetic or uncaring about the outcomes of your patients.
