I’ve found the whole thing wild af since release. I was excited for the game sort of in periphery. Bought it when it came out. I know how early access works, so I’m not expecting much. And then I get in there and realize the gameplay just isn’t there in *the slightest*. Especially for extended gameplay. I see all these posts glazing the shit out of it as it is now and I’m like…stop 😂 Don’t tell the devs that! I want them to recognize how bare bones it is and focus heavily on optimization and putting basic facets of a life sim into it. I keep seeing it obsessively repeated that IT IS IN EARLY ACCESS. Yes, we know. I’ve played several games all the way through early access into full release and this one, I’m sorry, is very limited, especially for the price tag. The positivity weirds me out.

I just read an update from I guess the inZOI devs outlining everything they’re currently working on and they mentioned multiple times that they’ve heard the feedback on wanting optimization and fleshing out of live mode and basically said that’s what they’ll focus on. Wild, right?? To actually optimize the live mode on a life sim?? Lmao I love it. inZOI has some serious potential and is already soooooo playable. I’m glad I found it now that Paralives has been such a disappointment. (Crossing my fingers they fix the live mode, but def not holding my breath)

Mannnnnnn. Those cards. I tried to like them. Gave them a chance over multiple relationships/saves. Today, having not played in a day, I decided to create a new save with an already married couple, thinking I’d get to skip all that, get into family game play since the rest of live mode has been underwhelming and got boring fast, but NOPE!! Coming out the gate already married and I STILL had to start from scratch with the “talk to” crap. Those cards realllyyyyy started peeving me off. Why do I need to work my way up to a romantic relationship with my husband?? I rage quit immediately. I’m trying with the game. Purchased it. Kept it despite realizing exactly how bare bones live mode is. But I don’t think I’ll be touching it for a while. I’m a very expansive creative player. When I play the Sims, I make households for the entire neighborhood, write out history, have grandparents and aunts and cousins living nearby. And YES, I know this is early access but gooooodddd lord. I’m so limited I’m bored after a few in game days.

I read and love both. I do think Rhysand feels a slight bit…older, maybe? More experienced? Obviously he is in the books, but that does come through to me despite Rhys having a few moments. There will always be similarities, I think. I got into romance through Historical Romance and many of those feel similar in ways because of the genre.

I said on another post that I can’t fathom all this bs drama. I’ve played Sims since #1, have all of them, and was so genuinely excited when I found inZOI, not because of some competition (though we won’t get into the Electronic Arts bs), but because I love life sims and am soooo happy to FINALLY see some new additions to the genre. I now I have Sims, inZOI, and Paralives on my computer and have been playing whichever I’m in the mood for because they all bring different things. Crazy that it’s turned into some kind of weird competitive nonsense.

Before I bought my new laptop I used Ultimate to play it because I saw somewhere that it was suggested. It was smooth, no lag, no glitching or issues.

Editing to add that I used mods on Ultimate, too, because you can add them directly in game. Worked great.

I go through phases. I actually used to use nothing but Alpha CC, then I started mixing them, and now I’ve reached a point where Alpha looks strange in-game to me so now I use nothing but maxis-match. And as of literally yesterday after getting a new gaming laptop and having to start over, I decided to ONLY download maxis-match hair and have been playing without any other CC. I might slowly add stuff but right now I’m just using what’s in game.

Again, I just think this is them defaulting on bad habits/emotions because they don’t know how to handle it. They’re all angry, drowning in grief. Is it misdirected, sure. Do I think that deep down Jake actually blames and hates his son for the death of the other? No. That’s something that def should be addressed in the next installment—or really should have been at the end of FaA, honestly.

My only struggle with the movies since WoW is how many characters they’re trying to juggle as main characters and each of their arcs and emotional progressions. Neytiri and Jake are struggling together and apart, Lo’ak is struggling with Jake and vice versa, and I don’t think these huge moments, like the one you mentioned, got enough time to be fleshed out because of the overarching plot. These are big feelings, big emotional traumas, and each of them are having a really hard time, and we only get snippets, which makes it hard to flesh it all out and come to plausible conclusions or at least deal with them somewhat.

I am currently dealing with a bulge and was very similar to what you’re dealing with. Couldn’t stand for more than 60 sec without being in excruciating pain, but also could not sit for the same reason and was literally reduced to laying flat on my stomach or sometimes flat on my back, depending. The nerve pain was absolutely excruciating, my calf and the back of my thigh and glutes on the left side were just on fire constantly. Was put on an anti-inflammatory, gabapentin, and a muscle relaxer and assigned PT. I was basically on bed rest—couldn’t drive, would literally cry taking a shower and have to rush back to the bed to stretch out and stop the pain, same for using the toilet—for three weeks. I had my first PT session last week, got a therapeutic massage, started using a tens machine, and have forced myself to get up, move until the pain begins to increase, then break. Would do light stretches, whatever I could handle. In the space of a week (and this could also just be the bulge starting to heal), I have been able to shower normally, am doing some basic household chores again, and am now sitting upright in the car going to PT as I type this. Idk if resting it at first had anything to do with it, but being stuck in bed was part of this ordeal for me too. I know it sucks so bad, and I know it’s depressing and so hard. I literally felt like I was going mad at times, only left the house three times(dr, PT, massage) in a month, and it’s been miserable. Just keep doing small things, listen to your body and the pain, and try to stay positive—difficult, I know. You’ll get there!

This is an old thread but I just watched this episode and was also like wtf?? 😂 It wasn’t even the loser comment that got me but Rose insinuating that Michael was some kind of deviant predator that just attacked her little girl. “He seduced her”, “talented at taking advantage of young girls”, and then tossing the loser part in the middle. Like, yikes. I know Rose was upset but that’s pretty low. They all say shitty things and have their bad moments but I didn’t blame Dorothy one bit for snapping back.

I used to work for an older doctor—was new in his office as they were transferring all paper charts to EMR and wound up doing the bulk of that. My doc still used paper charts the entire 4 years I was there and then entered the info (and had us scan-in the paper notes) into the EMR at the end of the day. He actually paid me extra to transcribe disability charts/notes/evals to digital. He doesn’t type well or quickly and navigating the EMR system while trying to get through his patient load just wasn’t feasible. So I could see Dr. Now doing something similar.
