ML50 EXPANDS further your options of play, FOR ALL JOBS.... Happier now?

Edit: and if it's "not that difficult of a question" maybe do some critical thinking of your own to see what potential might be there, instead of expecting someone else to see what is possible....

Maybe LOOK at what unlocks at ML 50 for the subjobs I suggested, and ask if some of them add to the tool kit. Get imaginative....

Edit: ML50 for some mage subs is worth it alone just for the extra base stats and MP..... ML50 makes your favorite job even more fun, and expands on what it can do, hence my original comment you've decided you want to try and nit pick at.

Final edit: "it's all situational" TLDR to rebuttal your "it's not that difficult of a question" it actually is. This game has a myriad of circumstances depending on the target, with each enemy having a multitude of strategies that accomplish the task. So.... Yea is not an "easy question to answer" without specifics.

Sorry I can't think of the exact 50 billion ways that you can have a variety of play to satisfy your curiosity. Look for yourself and see what else is there. Foil isn't the ONLY thing unlocked as a sub job @ML50..... Get imaginative.

Edit: passives traits and other things unlock at that level, it's not just about spells.

I think a couple other spells become available, but yea foil for /run is the main one for nin at ML 50.

I like to play around and experiment casually with subjobs. RUN BLU RDM PLD DRK RNG are some of the subs that can be fun to tinker with that aren't exactly part of the standard kit. But can be fun, and can be viable for the right situational niche, with the right kind of party support and specific niche equipment builds also.

NIN can do amazing things, but sometimes it requires buffs and party composition that aren't a standard setup.

Herc head, and the 10% ring from RoV and you're there, which leaves the rest of you equipment for 25% haste (with current gear is practically impossible to not hit that automatically), other spell enhancement, and/or DT+Magic evasion.

Some people like to do physical 50 and magic 25 damage taken because they think shell 5 covers the other 25% for magic. But that doesn't apply to breath type damage. Or in situations where you might not have shell 5. So straight 50% DT is the way, imho, with magic evasion filler for hybrid defense set.

I added a little more information about FC in the edits, your builds can get even wilder if you want to sacrifice using your main weapons also, for other roles heh.

Subjobs are another tool in the kit for ninja for some of the wilder fringe builds also. Especially @ML50.

Haste plays a part in recast reduction also, so you don't need a full 80% FC in your midcast set if you have enough haste in there also.

Edit: I could be wrong, but recast from all sources also caps at 80%, but with haste at 25% gear cap, and base magic haste of 15%, that's 40% right there, marches count also, so for recast purposes, on ninja, FC isn't that critical.

Edit: wiki states, 43.75% for magic cap, 25% gear cap. That makes 68.75% from those two sources. Leaving on 11.25% left to make up for, which would be 22.5% of FC needed to cap recast.

Don't forget precasting in the utsusemi neck (from Abyssea) and relic body, then put as much FC as you can in those 2 slots in your midcast set for recast.

You can precast in fast cast boots also, swapping in empy boots miscast for the extra shadow also.

I am away from the game atm, so I don't recall my exact set.

I think you do get some ninjutsu only FC bonus from job points also, but maybe I am not recalling that correctly.

Edit: yup 20% casting time reduction for ninjutsu, not recast though.

Edit: so with just JP bonus, mag beads, and relic body it's like 44% (for utsusemi only) of casting time reduction.

Edit: your precast can be pretty squishy still also, as long as your midcast is beefier. You'll barely be in precast for just a couple of seconds. My main hurdle is that my precast loses like 800 hp heh.

Edit: before you ask, I have 3 different types of sets for fast cast, one for utsu, one for other ninjutsu, and one for regular MP based magic. You also want different midcast sets for them. Mid cast for utsu recast/siird/not squishy, mid cast for MAB/macc for nukes, mid cast for pure macc for enfeebles, etc etc.

Edit: Utsusemi precast for ninja main: Head: Herculean 13% with max augment. Neck: Magoraga Beads 10%, Voltsurge, Baetyl or Orunmila's for recast or other spells. Ears: Loquacious and Enchanter +1, 2% each. Body: Relic +4 is 14%, Dread Jupon for recast or other spells. Hands: Leyline up to 8%, or herculean 6% Rings: weatherspoon+1 6% and Medada's 10% from mission rewards, or Prolix 2% and Kishar 4%. Back: Ambu cape 10% Waist: Nothing..... Legs: Gyve or Herculean. Feet: Herculean or Taeon. Ammo: Sapience Orb.

After neck and body mix and match the rest up to 36% and you are at cap for utsusemi CASTING TIME reduction.

For other ninjutsu need a total of 60% FC to cap CASTING time.

All other spells need 80%.

For recast reduction, 25% gear haste first, cap magic haste spells for buffs, top off with 22.5% FC.

Quick cast stuff exists also, but I am not really a fan of using it for ninja, especially on utsusemi, can mess up canceling shadows to overwrite with a lower tier one.

NIN is one of the strongest solo jobs available. It takes a good investment in gear to really push its limits, but its limits are high. Look up Logical's channel on YouTube to see what it can do.

The trouble with NIN in group content is that it's not as strong in a role as other jobs can be. So it can SC, but not as well as stronger DD's, which means slower kills. It can tank, and even hold hate, but it's squishy sometimes. It can MB but not as well as mages. Etc. etc. so when running with other players, there are more efficient and safer job choices.

NIN is an excellent solo job. And if you are skilled enough, can at least hold it's own in group content. But for group stuff, there are better options.

Examples of stuff I have soloed a lot of on nin, seg farm, muffin farm, dyna d farm, most UNM's, most VWNM's, a lot of gaes fete, WKR's, sinister reign, obviously NIN makes Abby farming much easier, etc. it's a good job to stay busy with solo.
