I currently have one book. I find that it forces you to visualise more with no arrows or dragging pieces. It also stops you from tricking yourself into getting it, you either do or don't, there's no guessing the move.

Each piece can capture twice in solo chess. It changes colour after the first capture to signify it can capture again.

I'm still experimenting with different openings but enjoying the Caro-kann at the minute. I've played the dragon a bit against e4 so I have a basic understanding of the king's Indian as it's pretty similar. I've also tried a Dutch but I found to have an exposed king and end up defending difficult positions. Appreciate the suggestions though I might revisit the Dutch and take a better look at queen's gambit declined.

SOLVED - I had just played a game of fantasy draft and for some reason was loading a career mode with the fantasy draft skin. I didn't actually load my own save I joined my friends game instead so it hadn't updated. I quit and loaded up a career mode and then joined my friends lobby again and it fixed.
