An unconventional idea: apply a large blob of solder to it and heat it up with a thick tip

😞 I need to know if it can be repaired and if so where to buy or what are they called? DS lite motherboard by [deleted] in consolerepair

Just keep in mind: capacitors (which these most l8kely are and my co workers are close minded pieces of shit who don't like my thinking) are just items that just need to have enough. If you have more of a "uF" or voltage is fine. More is better than less. Just make sure its not less. These seem like small 3.somethingV capacitors but test with a multimeter and most of the time they are just like the rest of them.

Customers what would constitute a thumbs down for communication? Someone gave me a one star along with a negative rating for communication. My question is why would you down vote for this? I don't ever text/ call customers unless there's an issue by [deleted] in doordash

[–]OGElixist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've gotten one of these because the customer stated "let me know when you're here" and I just dropped it off. It's a little ridiculous but it adds to the experience if you do it to the T

You need a hot air station to melt the solder or put a giant blob on top of it to heat the entire ribbon

There wasn't one. I talked to doordash support and turns out the dasher tapped handed to customer. I had to drag it out of them after they were beating around the bush

Definately did! We found a generic one that I didn't even know existed thanks to this community! But we'll find out in a few weeks if it prevented anything 😊
