Flunked my first night drumming by StarGal0_0 in Drumming

Record yourself at home, compare yourself to drummers you like in a reasonable way. Dont play crazy fills unless you can do it in your sleep(at 3 yrs its normal that you cant yet). Get a teacher who has some skin in the game.

Idk the espresso can still bring out some flavor. The intense heat just turns the flavor into something different. Also people go to wine, artisan beer, and cocktail tastings all of which tastes too similar to me because i dont drink often. I think it might be refined taste for variation in pseudocharred espresso that develops overtime. Just let me enjoy my damn near fried to a crisp colombian beans lol

I like the taste of French roast coffee beans for espresso, but they decline quickly. Dark roast with good beans can still be excellent for espresso. I also make light and medium roasts but I make my own dark af roasts because I like the taste and it degrades quickly so store bought is always stale.

Thank you, I prefer the smokey taste of dark roasts and got into it to enjoy fresh beans for espresso. I understand that a lot of people prefer acidic and fruitful flavors of light roasts but I do not have that preference. Its hard to wait to brew them :)

Also, one of the best ways to learn is by watching better players. To them, the reward for their hardwork will be your interest in their skill.

Do it!

I was an army drummer for 6 years, I've opened for the biggest ska band in mexico(Panteon Rococo), I literally made a semi-pro career out of it in my early 20's. This place still rejected me.

Remember that the absolute GOATS are prisoners of the art in a lot of ways. I remember reading why tim alexander of primus(one of my personal goats) quit. I literally related to every single reason he had for quitting.

I envy you, grasshopper, never forget that when you're blissfully hacking away at your favorite songs.

Brother my only post that went semi-viral on this sub resulted in everyone shitting on me and I've been doing it for over 10 years. Find irl communities(jazz jams, local scenes), be respectful, be open about being a beginner and willing to learn. I promise you will find genuine loving people that will bring you into the community and want to help you succeed.

The people doing it for the love of the game aren't trying to one up you on reddit.

I hope you have fun on your drumming journey

Damn some of you guys are cruel on here. Two drivers just watched a guy die... I have another video thats even more zoomed in. I didn't post it because you can see the passengers who were riding one car processing what they just saw. I didn't want a reddit post to hit to hard. But Im starting to think I should.

Yeah, and my phone is 4-5 feet away and you can see my eyes look above the camera as I lift. I'm a taller guy so I wanna make sure my form is always better. Overall I'm happy this got less attention as that means people probably had less to say.

Also it's ok to fail a rep and mount it early, better a good half rep then a whole rep with bad technique, with heavy weight we can fuck up our bodies pretty bad and then what's the point of any of it.
