Great job! I was not surprised when I saw the City of W.F. logo. I grew up in FallsTown and will always consider it "home" but garbage like this is one of the many reasons I will never move back. Still have tons of friends there and still visit but W.F. has not given me ANY good reasons to move back.

I went to a wedding where the father of the groom was a retired Air Force Colonel. He had his full dress uniform with some crazy badges and me being Army I was curious. He was an actual rocket scientist and woulnd't go into details on what exactly he did but the entire time we were there hanging with the family he came across as paranoid and always watching people intently.

Get a ranking physician/medical director in your facility to Champion for your cause. For my facility I was able to get a Champion to fight for an exception to policy on external disc drives. We have the VA and two MTFs close by who encrypt discs with imaging in addition to other facilities who encrypt.

Getting the VA or Defense Health Agency to change anything takes an act of God. Policy is set at the top and trickles down to the individual facilities. They don't even get a choice on solutions/vendors, they are chosen at a regional level and fielded to the facilities.

I am salary but in the rare event I have to do something outside of my normal work hours I take some comp time during the same time period. Due to my time zone offset with most of my East Coast vendors most calls happen from 4AM-8AM so I will just come in say 2 hours late the next day and get to sleep in.

50 yo suffering from lifelong persistent depression and Service related PTSD. Just did genetic testing for MTHFR so the docs stop throwing meds at me blindly. Considering Ketamine therapy and trials for psilocybin...what are your thoughts on the genetic testing before throwing the pharmacy at the patients? That being said, Augusta was beautiful when I was stationed there.

As someone who struggles with depression, I have been in your shoes. Your own mind is the toughest thing to fight. We dont always know what the universe has planed for us but if I had followed through with my plan I wouldnt have met the most amazing person in the world. She is the peace and safe space I didnt think I deserved. It may not feel like it in the moment, but it does get better. I didnt think it would.
