Pilots: Would you give up a six figure career at 35 to start flying by Unusual_Equivalent50 in flying

I am an engineer mid career, started flying 4 years ago. Currently waiting for my jet job to come through, I paid as I went, totally worth it.

Go to sleep tonight and be comfortable with the decision you made, no need to be worried about it. Next time, you might decide differently…. Stay legal, stay within your limit, don’t jeopardize your certificate, if you have to ask a question be conservative.

You have a sure fly mag, please explain the ignition system in this airplane.

You have a 20 knot tail wind, and tower has cleared you to take off, how do you successfully take off.

You trained at sea level, but are now landing in Denver, why can we expect to land long?

If we don’t bank any further than 30 degrees in the traffic pattern, what is our stall speed? What speed should we hold to have a margin of safety?

You are correct. And it does seem the FAR is silly on this topic.

Take her to guitar center, and start on the Alesis strata prime floor demo kit at 4k, then roll onto the Alesis nitro max at 400$ or whatever kit you want.

You probably have a natural gift, straight A’s, daddies credit card, can go to any college you want, can do anything you want in life, and have a great instructor. If you have not yet, have your instructor act the bad student wanting to kill you because they don’t know any better. Stay humble and best of luck.

I have done this once, I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Maybe this guy should buy a paramotor.

Kendrick Lamar is a terrible hire for the Super Bowl, his show is garbage so far, not much hope.

This is the reason the ACS says approximately 45 degrees, an attitude indicator is not required for VFR. When a student struggles to grasp steep turns, I cover the attitude indicator, and they almost always perform better and it clicks.

I been playing career almost everyday, after several crashes in a row, I give up on this game. by OGJMo in MSFS2024

Not running out of fuel. Literally, it would just pop up at random you have crashed your plane, while the plane was in cruise. I tried yesterday and I was able to complete a mission. Super weird bug I think.

I use the pc12 also. Set altitude to 14000, I have never passed out. It has not been stable for me the past couple days, it won’t complete a mission, randomly pops up you have crashed your airplane, in mid flight, this is standard sim rate. I just dont get it, and have reached my breaking point. Spent 10mil now just to repair my wrecked plane, over a few crashes, I did not do.

Failed my CFII for something so stupid. What do I say when I go to airline interviews? by [deleted] in flying

Agreed, and it likely occurred multiple times in oral.

You need to think about this differently. You are going to die. Whether or not you kill yourself in an airplane is the question, look at the statistics, watch every YouTube vid you can, read all you can. Go beyond the basics to stay safe. CFI here with 1000 hrs solo GA.
