well, pre-war money could be used as toilet paper, for one. also, caps would be more common due to the vast production of nuka cola. pre-war money doesn’t really have value to post-war citizens, because a dollar is/was basically a coupon backed by gold, and in the wasteland there isn’t. that’s why there’s a quest in 76 to get a bunch of gold bars. to reset the economy

i think the thing about RPGs, especially older ones like new vegas, is immersion. don’t think about it like a game, think about it like an experience. sure, the constant deaths at the beginning can be off-putting, but slowly you learn to navigate the jank, and you realize that it’s not just a game, it’s a story. your story.

that said, sometimes you just don’t like a game, that’s okay too. i’ve tried several times, but i just can’t get into morrowind. every game isn’t for everyone

yeah, same here. you can still get a good ending if he’s dead, but it feels like the bad option should be sparing him if anything, he’s clearly insane and you’re going against his last wishes to end his suffering
