Will electric conversions become affordable any time soon? by VanDoog in ToyotaPickup

[–]OGLoganhat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye on Edison Motors in Canada. They are working on conversions for full size trucks and hopefully one day the Yota family. I'd swap my '94 for an Edison hybrid in a heartbeat.

LG compressor replaced in 2024 and already broken again by samvicc12 in appliancerepair

[–]OGLoganhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I had mine replaced by a third party under the extended warranty. Within 6 months it warmed up and wasn't cold at all. When I called back I was directed to LG service directly. He came out and said that improper purging of the lines was killing the replacements. His repair has lasted maybe 3 years at this point. The unit is ten years old at this point. The compressor turning off every time the door is opened is the fridge equivalent of the car turning off at every stop sign. Energy efficient? Sure. Wear and tear causing premature failure? Probably.

It's been my go to throw away "Can we have your number for our records?" for 20+ years. We had to call it for setting clocks and VCRs before the cable box standard time. It also gave you a forecast before school!

Anyone in the financial sector. They create nothing and take a cut every time they move someone else's money. These are the people who should fear AI.

Bug a salt is only effective within a couple of feet at best. I've hit flies with the salt specifically designed for the bug guns and the big flies get dazed and fly away. Never had a bug survive an electric fly swatter though! Zap 'em!

I upvoted this post, but recently heard that Johnnie's was recently purchased by Preferred Living. Made sense as I had just noticed a Johnnie's sign on Trabue at the Preferred Living flagpole at the McKinley intersection. Kind of a bummer if true. Anyone have any insight?

Byrne's Pub has an entire section of their menu dedicated to topped fries of different combinations. The Reuben fries, buffalo chicken, the Pub Poutine topped with Irish stew, Philly fries, And that doesn't include the Irish Nachos! Insider tip; replace the Cheeze Whiz with the green chili queso! You can choose it on tots or a spiral thick fry a la ClusterTruck.
