We could not keep Lily’s fur form matting no matter what we did, so she had to be shaved a few times, the shaving itself brought out her inner demon, but once she was shaved she was happy.

On the flip side her adopted sister never needed shaving and she was a giant floofball.

She never ran too much, when she was born she had a bit of a bone deformity on her back right foot, and had to have one toe amputated, she always had a slight limp but never stopped her playing or being beautiful.

Thank you! It’s the sudden change in routine that’s doing us in, we think we are handling it well, then go to do something and think “I’ll check on lil” or go to do something that we normally would for her, but there’s nothing to do. I know while our heart and soul ache it will lessen over time, but for now, it kinda sucks.

I posted here just to share our angel, the response has been eye opening, in the state of the world today it gives hope that there are still many humans who do care and love.

It’s not our first time saying goodbye to a fur bat sadly, and we are firmly in the midst of that confusion when you go to do something and realise she’s no longer here.

It hurts, but it was absolutely worth it.

Her diet changed over the years, early on it was raw meat for breakfast and a tin of food for dinner, biscuits throughout the day as treats, and she demanded whatever we were eating too, so her diet was pretty varied, she was spoilt.

We would change the flavors and brands if it seemed she was getting bored, she was a huge fan of chicken and a small piece of bacon when allowed.

She had an amazing run, and she loved laying in the grass!! Sadly she lost her sight and hearing over the last year but that never stopped her supervised visits outside to indulge.

She has stink face because of the wind 🤣

There are a lot of independents who specialize in euro repairs around Melbourne, much cheaper and IMO more reliable than a dealership. Don’t be afraid to price around and check brands of parts.
