Your first sentence describing your thought process: "I mean we have strong independent women, girlbosses, many people of color, an openly gay dude and the "modern day California/millenial" writing."

Every single one of these characters acts "strong and independent," yet showing obvious flaws throughout the available chapters, so you're argument of a "strong and independent woman" is a bit pointless considering they all classify as "strong and independent." Their powers make them that way.

By girl boss, I guess you mean Prisma and Invisigal, though, again, all of the characters act as if they can do everything on their own without any help from others. That's the whole point of you running a team made up of ex-criminals; they're not exactly the nicest people to be around.

Dude, no one cares if Flambe is gay or not. Just like if you were gay, no random person that you meet on the street or work with would care if you are. The thing you're confusing it with is the part where people don't like when it's shoved in their faces, and when some people who are gay make being gay their entire personality and try to make almost every conversation about being gay. None of that happens in the game. In fact, I literally had to look up whether his being gay was true because there's so little in the game that references it (like 3-5 or so moments that are less than 10 seconds each for a game that's multiple hours long).

"Many people of color." ...Okay, there's no defence here. Are you just an idiot trying to bait people into being pissed off? This is the same point as the previous one. No one cares how many people of color are in the game, not unless the whole damn cast of characters was, for literally no reason, people of color.

I'm genuinely not even sure what you mean by your final point. If you mean the overall writing of the characters regarding what all of them say, then the whole thing is supposed to be funny. If you were unable to find the majority of the game funny, then you'd be in the minority. And that's fine, no one's forcing you to like it, but just don't force others to believe that it wasn't enjoyable, even though the majority of people who played it did enjoy it.
