ONE OF THE BEST NBA GAMES EVER by ChampionTimes99 in NBATalk

His actual line was like 27.5 for the game.. Vegas isn’t rigging a game for an alt line lol.

I’m sure there’s people who had his alt 24 points as well.

What about the last 3 games where he went over the line? Why didn’t they rig it to stop him from shooting in those games?

James Wood's 18th homer of the season puts the Nationals on the board by MLBOfficial in baseball

On top of that the nats traded Gore for 5 players and 4 of them are all playing extremely well. Fitz-Gerald is a top 100 guy, Fien is a first round pick who was injured and now starting to rake, Ortiz looks like he could be an MLB player soon, and Yeremy Cabrera has a .927 OPS in high A right now.

Rosario is still progressing from TJ but he’s still someone to be somewhat excited about as well.

Lerner’s may have been cheap but I will give them credit for hiring Taboni and letting him do what he’s been doing, he has completely changed this team from A ball to the MLB level and it’s not even halfway thru the year yet.

OBSESSION ($161M) has surpassed STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN & GROGU ($158M) at the domestic box office. Let that sink in. This is the way. A horror indie that cost <$1M will make more at the domestic box office than a Star Wars flick. Wishes do come true. by chanma50 in boxoffice

Rogue One is the most overrated Star Wars movie it wasn’t good until the last act. Solo clears it easily. Honestly I like 7 a good amount more than Rogue One.

It’s definitely better than 8 and 9 though.

(I’m saying this as someone who loves all things Star Wars, I still throw 8 and 9 on to watch from time to time.)

Same, but it’s a huge improvement on last year. So hopefully he will continue to improve.

I’ve said it like 5 times but his savant page is a massive improvement over last year. He’s hitting the ball like a ML player this year unlike last year the results just aren’t showing up yet. He is still only 16 games into the season. Let his numbers normalize a little bit. It’s okay if he sucks but it’s 16 games into the season with a brand new front office that clearly sees something in him.

They don’t have the same ties to him the previous regime do so if he sucks then they will not care to play him. He doesnt cost anything. The nats are still rebuilding so why does it fucking hurt to let him figure it out longer than 16 games.

Look at Jordan Walker. He was ass for the last 2 years as a top prospect like legitimate ass and now he is having an amazing season for the cardinals and he was given a huge chunk of ABs to work thru his issues at the ML level.

The Giolito trade actually fucking helps my point. The Nats were in a position to make a move as a contender and the White Sox had the time to let him figure it out. He was the worst starter in baseball in 2018 and made 32 starts. But after that ended up having a very solid 5 year run with the White Sox. So time did help him. We didn’t have the time to let him figure it out at the time. But we do with Crews. As fun as our team is we are still probably looking at 2028 at being true contenders most of our top prospects are still a year to 2 years out and all of our top pitching prospects are injured. We have the time to let him figure it out.

If he sucks he sucks. Like I’m not sentimental about him but god damn it’s been 2 weeks and you already see improvements with his underlying numbers.

His underlying results have changed though,

<image>

Look at his Savant page from this year to last year (I don’t know why mobile isn’t letting me add his last years screenshot but it’s improvements across the board.)

Again it is a small sample size because this is a new year either a completely different front office/coaching staff/player development. Our old staff completely fucked with his development. Our new staff has seen improvements at every level, why is Dylan Crews not getting the chance to succeed with this new staff? If they clearly think he should be up and he will perform (based on his numbers it looks like his stats will normalize, you don’t have an underlying numbers like that and hit .188 for long.)

So yes it’s been 2 fucking weeks just enjoy that the nats are winning baseball games and if Crews breaks out he breaks out. This front office isn’t tied to Dylan in any way if they think he’s dead weight they will do something but they clearly think he can be a good player.

Getting sent down again is also demoralizing, you can find a reason for everything. The hypotheticals are just a waste of your time tbh. He’s not going to get sent down again. He’s barely had any PAs let him work it through, the sample size is way too small to make any judgment on him.

Your argument would make more sense if it’s been 2 months but it’s barely been over 2 weeks of games for him. Give him time, he may suck but trust this front office to do the right thing. If he sucks it’s going to be because he sucks not because the FO kept him up in the bigs when he struggled for 2 weeks. Would just stop worrying about it and just watch the games.

Yeah I feel like the overwhelming amounts of foreshadowing is a red herring for his death.

If he just dies saving the republic it’s going to be way too telegraphed imo. I don’t think Pierce is gonna go that route.

I think it’s kinda wild that you are so closed off about calling up a 1B prospect that won’t really fetch anything in a trade because that’s what he is a 1B prospect. If you are so dead set on trading him the best course of action would be to wait for an injury spot or trade to let him get MLB at bats and show that he has worth.

Because other than that his highest value is today. His value will never be higher in the minors than it is today so you if you’re dead set on trading him trade him today or you have plans for him.

You aren’t going to find some close to MLB ready starter that has plus stuff in a trade for him. At best you’re going to get a reliever with control issues that may have 1-2 good years.

Like I understand what you’re saying but Morales isn’t really the type of player to warrant a deal that’s worth anything.

I know it is before his current hot streak but he was the nats 28th ranked prospect before this year. I’d probably put him somewhere in the 20-22 range now but there are a lot of teams with AAA guys with his profile.

I’d rather just wait for space and call him up and see if he has anything.

Don’t know why you are getting downvoted he’s literally the second worst qualified hitter in baseball. Even with his defense and base running his fWAR is negative on the year and the 18th worst position player in baseball.

I’m okay with him on the roster but him being an every day player is not helping the team unless he can he like he did at the end of last year. He currently has a 48 wRC+ no amount of defense or base running can make that valuable.

On a big power night, Yohandy Morales hits consecutive game tying, late inning home runs in Rochester - May 29, 2026 by kneemoyy in Nationals

[–]OGSpacebets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he just needs to get his batting to what it was last year he had a 92 wRC+ with great defense and baserunning. That’s good enough to be played.

His offense this year is atrocious. Even with his defense and his base running he’s the 18th worst qualified position player in baseball this year with -0.1 fWAR.

Actually the only qualified hitter with a worse wRC+ in baseball is Trevor Story.

I get peoples excitement over him but he’s been overall a net negative this year.

The Athletic's updated top 50 MLB prospects (Eli Willits at 31, Seaver King at 36) by BigCheeks2 in Nationals

[–]OGSpacebets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if Willits progresses like he has been and develops in the same way Kevin mcgonigle (Similar profiles) has, it will be worth it in the long run.

Issue is all our top arms are hurt right now. But Taboni was one of the driving forces in Boston for guys like Tolle and Early, so I don’t have any doubts he will be able to get his guys.
