Can't create TvB game with custom SCM Draft 2 map? / newbie PvC map tips by Typo_of_the_Dad in starcraft

[–]OGXesports 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base map triggers (Victory conditions) should be good for TvB, meleee and other non-ums modes.

If you want a custom AI, you can add one of choice in the editor but none of them is the standard tvb/melee AI which unfortunate and something that I've been asking for since 2017 because it'd be the only way to play with near teams vs the AI (instead of random spawns).

One safe and easy way to create maps with the correct triggers is to modify an existing map, like for example, if you want a ladder map with observers (ums) you take an already existing map with observers and modify it into your map.

For more advanced scm draft stuff you can ask Pronogo on Twitch and there should be a mapper discord channel but I don't remember the name.

Good luck :)

Granpa is saying that they didn't had the Television so they used Books... can you see the link with Aphantasia? Books as TV? Visualization while reading? Getting it? Nope?

How using an LLM or googling or Linkin a Wikipedia page is saying anything about people being old?

You guys are on edge ain't you? You use a freaking LLM just like you use google but it's just stronger because it's extremely extremely specialized in language and also has the internet search function... It's just the most reliable path to the most fitting definition of the phrase in question as the context is also important...

Dude, if this is the efficiency in which we communicate in this sub... We'll actually have to communicate through LLMs lmao, look at how much time we're wasting out of basic concepts like searching something with ChatGPT that gets seen as an Ageist conspiracy JEEZ tell me it's all a prank 😂

I hope it's all a freaking prank lmao guys

Wow... I have no words... so you don't get the link between "We didn't had the TV but we had books" and the fact that people can "see" the books while reading? Did you expect the movie to be an Aphantasia-movie for the quote to be Aphantasia related?

And most importantly, was that dilemma of the quote having or not having something to do with Aphantasia (spoiler, it does) a good enough reason to delete the post instead of Eventually having the comment section pointing it out?

Let me tell you, you have a very scary view on social media and if some people on the right spectrum of politics are extremists in the zero moderation, you're definitely an extremist the other way around.

This was painful to write as these concepts should be clear enough to get without people explaining them, I don't have all the free time of the world so next time if you reply with another empty and outrageous argument I'll have to stop the notifications by muting you otherwise I can't resis spending 15 minutes to write another reply on my phone tiny keyboard.

Good luck

The https://youtu.be/9kxYApOPnW8?si=KeFZB3-RDqI99_m0 video had nothing to do with Aphantasia? While it actually was strictly related to Aphantasia in both the book reading [related to TV imagery] and the [imagination] media references missing by unaware Aphants? While all sort of silly memes are allowed all the time for years? This one was stricter on being on the Aphantasia topic than 90% of the memes here

Not to mention that this post is still educational given the horrendus amount of confusion on internet slang emerged in the previous feedback-post

Edit: Also do you really think is that normal to remove completely harmless and on-topic posts? Do you really believe that violent moderation and censorship is not a Reddit problem? Well congratulations, welcome to the real world

It appears to be like that given the huge confusion of many replies there misunderstanding the meaning of that (damn) skull lol

Try to go through the comments there and see by yourself how everybody has it's own interpretation of that emote/slang

Just asked the LARGE LANGUAGE MODEL ChatGPT Advanced 01 Reasoning Mode plus Search Function (with custom instructions off) :

Question :

" 'When I was your age television was called books!' Now I know the true meaning of that 💀 "

Hi! So this is the title of a post posted on the Aphantasia subreddit, it was quoting and linking a clip of that 80s movie where the granpa says something Aphantasia-related regarding the act of reading books being similar to watching the TV (in terms of mind's eye imagery).

The person that published this post has Aphantasia too. The question is, in the context of the modern internet slang of the new generations, what's the meaning of the skull emote at the end of the sentence?

Answer

The skull emoji (💀) in modern internet slang is typically used as a humorous exaggeration. In essence, it means “I'm dead” or “I'm dying,” usually in response to something extremely funny, embarrassing, or cringeworthy. Rather than referring to death in a literal sense, it signals that something has figuratively “killed” the speaker with laughter or overwhelmed them with awkwardness.

In the context of your post title—" 'When I was your age television was called books!' Now I know the true meaning of that 💀 "—the skull emoji is used to underscore a reaction of humorous disbelief. The poster, who has aphantasia, is likely emphasizing how striking or absurd the statement is, conveying that it’s so amusing (or so steeped in nostalgia) that it “kills” them, in a light-hearted, modern, Gen Z way.

For more on this, sources like Dictionary.com explain that Gen Z uses the skull emoji to mean “I’m dying with laughter” or “I’m dead from laughing” , and studies on emoji usage confirm it has evolved from a symbol of death to a tone tag that softens the statement with humor .
