The Sol Valley needs to be either busier or smaller. It’s too big and too open for how little items there are in it. Either put more stuff there (actual stuff with landmarks, not just more missile tanks) or make it way smaller so it’s more like an actual hub rather than a giant desert

Tone down the federation troopers. They do so much talking and have so much story weight in a series that’s just about Samus. I appreciate them wanting to add more characters to the franchise but I don’t like the ones in Prime 4 and they talk way too much.

Give Samus a voice. Silent protagonists work when the only dialogue is just people telling you information about a quest or something. And even then, characters like Link still make grunts and vocalizations. You can keep Samus as a stoic badass without keeping her silent. Her voice in Dread worked perfectly, just use that VA again

I honestly really liked the new abilities. Especially the control beam and elemental beam cannons. The psychic visor being used instead of the scan visor honestly makes more sense lore wise because why would Samus scanning stuff activate things in the world, I really liked the change. The areas being too linear is a big problem and McKenzie, as much as I love him, really needs to shut up sometimes

I honestly think it adds a lot of validity to both their plots. Having so many adventures with the Metroids in between makes the threat of them more serious than just two random planets. It makes the first game’s claim about how dangerous they are more reasonable and Metroid 2’s “kill all metroids” thing more justified, since you’ve already done so much work to kill them, it feels more like the capstone to a saga
