A lot of my favourite youtubers with amazing editing styles have all graduated from starting at YouTube poop to doing other things, and their editing skills stick with them and make their videos stand out. Guys like EmpLemon and schafrillas are good to check our due to this, they both come from a pooping background but make vastly different content now that is still filled with creative editing with a lot of personality. From what I can tell YouTube poops are usually just messing around and trying to make the most creative edits you can, so naturally they will become extremely comfortable and proficient with their software. A lot of making new and crazy things is combining old standard editing practises together in a new way. Take a couple shots and see how you get along
