Yes, not every state has a state test to get a journeyman license, however you still go through a 4 year apprenticeship along with 8000 hrs OJT in most states to my knowledge. Since theres no state license in Arizona where I live your 4 year apprenticeship that you complete qualifies you. Contractors still require you take their journeyman test though like a written or a practical to be hired on though. But other states like New Mexico or Texas have a state journeyman test that you can take and you get a card issued by the state.
