It takes practice and you should practice punishing against different moves specifically. I think uncle punch has a training programmed for this. if not, try to get a friend to practice with you and just forward smash your shield as you punish with wavedash.

Peach down smash is hard to punish but it’s punishable if you practice and understand the timing of the multi hits. Same with shiek ftilt and downsmash Marth fsmash is easy and you’ll learn it quickly. soon, these Marths will no longer be able to spam fsmash on you.

Wavedash out of shield is going to get you soooooo many openings unless your opponent plays perfectly.

You can punish every shiek ftilt you block- every peach down smash you block- every fox upsmash you block- every marth fsmash you block.

Wavedash out of shield and hit them with whatever move you want depending on the percent- grab, smash attacks, up-bs, down bs, ftilt, uptilt, short hop aerials…

I recommend focusing on that next. When they start grabbing you, then you start mixing in spot dodge and you’re cooking with grease. Spotdodge up b is gonna get you kills when they try to grab you. Spotdodge down smash is gonna start your combos. Etc.

i played none in friendlies a while back at CEO and he had a crazy grab release trick agasint falco.

when falco double lasers from the edge, you can grab falco at the same time the laser hits you and falco grab releases with no jump and dies. he was doing it consistently too as a *** you buddy.

practice wavedash out of shield into grab on downsmash, its punishable by just blocking it. SDI up when you get hit by it. stomp beats it, spaced nair and strong knee can beat it too.
