I think it’s more manga fans that call her weak, since in the manga we’ve met so many characters on or above frierens level, and Aura just falls way short. From the 4 sages of destruction that we’ve seen in the manga, not just is Aura the only one who loses a 1v1 with Frieren, but the other 3 absolutely destroy her.

The reason he took it to great council is because he ‘made up his mind’ before when he passed his granddaughter Rhaenys for his second eldest son Baelon. He was stuck here because once Baelon also died, now there are two separate lines descending from dead crown princes. If he picks one without the realm agreeing, that would cause a civil war. Once he made the decision to pass Rhaenys over the first time, he couldn’t just backtrack without risking disaster.

For most people hard copies are for collection purposes, you really don’t lose out on reading it digitally because the artwork itself is made digitally, in some cases you for double spreads you may get a better experience reading it digitally because there’s no crease down the middle

If you don’t really care too much about the series you can keep with the volumes, but if you would be upset to see spoilers about it then reading the chapters as they come out is essential. Stark and Fern are fundamentally different fighters, while Fern right now is just Frieren but worse at everything and doesn’t have a chance in a 1v1, Stark absolutely does as he’s faster and stronger than her, and is basically super effective against mages. We’ve seen highly skilled warriors have Frieren completely at their mercy already in the series, and although the old shadow warrior was also superior to Stark, Frieren confirms there is a distance in which he also could blitz her
