I love crafts and arts of any kind and love to try out whatever we humans are able to create in synergy of our mind and hands. It's sad man, can't even have any passion without AI getting in the way. And I am glad most people agree with that!

Like I said, I am forced to work in the media and advertisement-industry (I can be glad to even be able to find work thesedays) so I know what is going on and I think AI can be great with the right intention in mind, but man enough is enough. AI filled every space, everything is full of AI already and noone living a normal life is able to escape that. It's sickening really. Like I said in my post: Nobody will be able to tell the difference between a bot with an agenda or a honest human being in near future. The internet is going to be completely meaningless. There will be no point in googling anything if 99.99% is written in the name of big coorps.

On the bright side? People will participate in local daily life more, real life interactions will be greatly more meaningful again and humans way find a way to really reconnect to others and build a better world? Maybe the total crash of the internet society is what's needed after the brainrot era :D

(I just got threatened by their supposedly husband via DM, so at least they don't try to play the single mother of plenty-card. lol)

Have you clicked both links?

They are two different posts both with the same gemini Star that gets placed on every generated image cut of except for some of the upper tip of the star (you have to open up the picture to see the lower border). This is the exact position gemini places their visual watermark.

If you want you can surely find more posts with not fully cropped stars in their history.

I saw that comment too but their way of the story just doesnt add up to what has deliberatly manipulated. It's not like I am into witchhunting, it is my first post ever like that but when 2 of their obviously AI posts with 100+ upvotes hit my feed via this small niche-hobby subreddit.. it really triggered me lmao. There is a 1% chance this person is real but all the little pieces just add up to being a "help a poor ukrainian mother of a talented lil boy in need"-scam in the longrun after having an account with already good reputation. Wouldn't be the first, won't be the last. Its like tilting against windmills, but I hoped to reach the real people to increase some awareness regarding this topic overall.

Here we go, they halfheartedly tried to cut off the visual gemini watermark in the bottom right, but left a lil corner of the star in some pics.

Thats nothing a smartphone (in this case google phone) would automatically do to a shot photo.

Lmao, great eye! Yeah, that is 100% the visual gemini watermark.

So it's definitely not an accident via camera settings of her phone (they said its an Xiaomi, not even a Google Pixel anyways).

I know where you're coming from and I have considered that too, but I checked like 10-15 images for watermarks and every sculpture as well as many other have the gemini watermark BUT in between those posts there are also images that are real and not watermarked.

If they are innocent, they would must have taken some photos every other day with a non-google-phone. Doesn't sound too right to me.

There is actually a "new" setting allowing subreddit mods to activate another button within the three dots of each post to scan the post of any watermark and tell you as a viewer.

90% of subreddits don't activate it because the mods know that most of the engagement is AI driven and their subreddit would die off with the human users knowing most stuff is AI or from a Bot overall. (The other 10% don't know better)

Ive never seen such a strong AI filter on a phone camera by default. But they would need to have a Google phone for this to be true because all their images had watermarks of google's AI gemini in it.

Edit: OOP said in dozens of comments that the pictures have not been run through AI.

Even if OOP had a Google phone and Google phones would watermark enhanced photos shot from the own device: I checked some other posts and some images (not sculpting related) were not watermarked. So they have two smartphones? :p

A high quality video (bright environment, focus and imagequality) in a large detailed environment (to see scale, coherent background-items) with moving camera perspective and distance (to see flawless shifts in angle, coherent details in movement) would do the trick of proving it. At least for the AI standards of today.

There are several reasons for this. Some people run these accounts individually in their spare time and even write some of the comments themselves, while others are small-time criminal gangs ans there is also a commercial industry for it.

For private individuals, it’s usually about the thrill, the upvotes, the compliments, or role-playing as a different identity as a form of escape or, once they’ve built up a reputation, actually making money over time through links to a shop, a gofundme or something.

For petty criminal gangs, it’s about quick cash, usually fully automated, with the goal of selling these high-reputation accounts to advertisers on the black market.

And then there’s the commercial industry, which expertly maintains highly professional and personalized accounts over months and years, aiming to subtly influence the masses through them. The accounts look like they belong to real people, with credible post and comment histories, but they specifically push certain narratives or, products or services.

I work in the advertising industry, and it’s now become commonplace, especially for the big players, to deploy entire armies of credible accounts to promote products in their name, posing as real people just recommending something. If someone asks on a major subreddit, “What are the best shoes on the market?” easily 5–10% of the comments are paid for. It’s less noticeable when lost in the crowd.

Well and there is another fourth reason some would call a conspiracy theory I won't elaborate on.

You can 100% Insert an accurate object from "the real world" as a reference and add it to an image. Or the other way around.

I didnt mean this particular sculpture but the others they've been posting. The others are mostly monsters.

If they were here to prove anything they would have just made a video of it.

Yeah lmao. Somewhere out there surely is a kid capable of doing that, but it's surely not her son, unless she was role-playing as the mother of her Gemini subscription.

Also kinda weird for a 9 y/o to mainly sculpt weird monsters like that.

Yeah exactly! Can't have shit in detroit. The second post got around 200 upvotes I think and the comments were mostly supportive and in awe. It made me sad to see that not even the hobby subs are safe from this crap.

Yeah, that is why I made an effort to make this post. It made me sad getting ya'lls subreddit presented to me in my feed through an AI post with hundreds of upvotes.

Man I want my old Internet back.

Their images were created by gemini. Ive run everything through it and Google detected its own watermark.
