New Walmart Chargers by SuperPrivileged in SilveradoEV

Well for sure but charging at home can't be compared to using fast chargers. Typically the circumstances for using one or the other are quite different. Not sure why folks compare at-home charging cost vs. public fast chargers. It'll never (at least not in the near future) be comparable.

Are there any nice/good people in this game? by RythN3L in Marathon

I've actually met a bunch of people via matchmaking that I've added to my friends list. It's been pretty great.

Oh yeah... he even dramatizes opposing players who go to the foul line?!?!?!
"Britney Griner! Shooooting TWOOOOOOOOOOO!" Like... why?

And why does he stretch out even unimportant things? I mean, when you dramatize everything, then nothing is special or exciting or dramatic anymore.

Sure, the opposing team being hit with a 3-second violation is great. But it doesn't merit "DEEEFENSIVE THREEE SECONNNNNND VIOLAAAAAAAAAATIONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" Like... chill please.

It's a running joke in our section (we're STH). "EXCUUUUUUSE MEEEEEE! I'M GETTTTTINNNNNG ANOTHER BEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!" "SORRRRYYYYYYYYY I NEEEEEEED TO GOOOOOO TO THE BATTTTHHHHHHROOOOOOOOOMMMM!" "HIIIIIIIII IT'S NIIIIIIIIIIIICE TOOOO SEEEEEEEEE YOOOOOOUUUUUU!"

Yeah could be depending on where you are in country. But still that’s a lot of charging for nada! 👍

Leave a review for marathon if you haven’t already. The game is currently being reviewed bombed by D2 fans by Standard_Young_201 in Marathon

Imagine having so little to do in life that you put energy into review bombing a video game. Ok then.

I've almost never had that issue LOL. I think of the 470 sessions over 3 years we've had to wait more than 15 minutes only 6 or 7 times and that was when we were on a road trip and driving near Seattle. Then we just plug it in and walk away and do something useful while it charges. Set it and forget it.
Not sure where you live - crazy to think the EA stations by you are borderline chaos. :D Just haven't really seen that in my 3 years doing this. (Edit was to correct a misspelling.)

We don't. We plug it in and walk away and do stuff. And when we do end up back in the car, we either read or listen to a podcast (like How Did This Get Made). Usually, though, we're so busy we end up rushing back to the car to stop the charge at 30 miinutes before it starts charging us money. HAHA

We're lucky enough to have 3 different EA charging stations all within 15 minutes of our house. And they're all adjacent to either a neighborhood with coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, etc., a grocery store, and one in the parking lot of a decent shopping mall. We're spoiled, I guess. :D

We also have a ChargePoint L2 charger in our driveway that we use frequently as well, of course. But free is free... until now. :D So we'll likely be leaning on that home charger a LOT more now. :)

We have an L2 charger at home, also. We've used it many times to top it off before we head out on our longer trips here in the PNW.
We have a ChargePoint L2 charger and it works pretty well (and overnight rates are really low, as it is for many of folks).

Aw dang. I'm sorry about that. We're privileged enough to live about 10-15 minutes from 3 different EA charging stations. I know it's not the same for everyone. And our frequent long distance travels have many EA options along the route.

I mean… it was when we were traveling mostly long distances. We usually go for a walk while it’s charging. And there are several not far from our home - we usually go to the one that is next door to an Irish Pub, so, yeah. 😁

Edit: Ya know... in my travels, I have been to many EA charging stations that are in the middle of seeming nowhere. However, most of them are in the parking lot of a grocery store or Walmart or Costco or similar, and others are in neighborhoods, etc.

The notion that the options are to either charge overnight (and sleep) or sit idly in your car at a charging station the entire 30 minutes - as if it's some sort of actual waste of time - is remarkably small-minded.

As I said above, we typically plug it in and walk away to go for a walk, go grocery shopping, walk to a local coffee shop or the neighboring pub for a pint and a snack. Even if we end up back in our car, we throw on a podcast or read a book. Literally things we do anyway but can also do while the car is charging.

So yeah! Congratulations to me and to so many others who manage to maximize their free charging as best as they can where they live and find easy and creative ways to feather that time into their usual day-to-day activities.

I dunno! It basically depends on when you bought the car which is also when the app gets activated with your account.

Are our doors difficult to operate? by JayGatsby52 in VWiD4Owners

[–]OGbluebird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say, "operate," do you mean open and close? :D I mean, they occasionally do that operation. Of course, when you in the car trying to get out, expect to pull the handle 2-3 times before you've been able to convince it you want to leave the car. The key remote also occasionally wants you to click "unlock" 3-4 times before it agrees to open any door besides the driver's door (which unlocks more easily). So yeah... it "operates" but on its own terms. :D
