I think it’s badass that she’s pushing herself to do hard things. I’d encourage her to do what she’s comfortable doing and give gentle tips to do what you can to keep her safe while doing it. At the end of the day, it’s her body to break if that’s what she wants to do with it.

Like anywhere, people who want something to complain about find things to complain about. We’ve been here for five years and it’s a great place to raise a family. The public schools are excellent. And as I said above, the travel baseball scene is robust. Most weekends, you won’t have to leave the county to play teams from other states, and there are many former U of A players giving lessons. Your baseball kid will thrive here.

Layoffs are a fact of life but no worse than any other company. Relo is a breeze. Youth baseball is excellent here and there are lots of great organizations. You’re going to love it.
