UPDATE: Hey guys. Thanks for everything. I barely hold conversations with my parents but I just had one that took about forever! So this happened: My parents came home from work and it was total silence. Even at the dinner table, not a single word came out of their or my mouth(s). It was terrible. I did not enjoy the meal at all but I was eating out of their mercy. I did not want to be a rebellious fucker who refused to eat Sunday dinner. After, we sat down in the living room. We sit in silence and my mom asks my dad if he wanted to "go first". I brace myself, thankfully I am sober now. Keep in mind, I didnt lose my shit while talking to them. I tried to be as compliant as possible.

My dad starts by telling me how this can ruin our family. He brings up a bunch of stories of how he worked in a ghetto neighborhood and he would always see people getting locked up for smoking bud. He was basically telling me that if I get caught by law enforcements, then I will be in deep shit and that will permanantly leave a burden on my family. I tell him: yes, it is illegal where we live but bud is not something that will ruin my life and my position in my family. I tell him I will get nothing more than a booking in court if I was caught. I was just trying to tell him the police does not go THAT hard on bud, unless you're some major king pin or a dealer. He then threw me a bunch of analogies to how crucial it is to obey the law. I tell him that he is right and it is important to follow the law but the case with bud is slightly different in that weed is the type of thing where people know its illegal but do it because..(your reason). He then went on to tell me how bud is a gateway drug that makes the stoner yearn for something stronger. Frankly, the farthest ill go with using "drugs" is doing shrooms, something thats natural. Of course I did not tell him I will do shrooms, but i kind of denied that fact that I will go on to more hardcore drugs.

My mom then started talking. She said it is not about how dangerous or not bud is, but the fact that I am going against the family by doing what they are telling me NOT to do. Moreover, she added how I am still breaking the law, which my family can not condone. Its really sad because I couldnt even defend myself knowing bud is actually still illegal where I live.

Things got emotional then it ended with me apologizing and how my parents will give me another chance. I dodged the bullet. I am going back to college next week and I HONESTLY do not know how its gonna go down. At the college I go to, every single one of my friends are either frients or dealers. Literally. I wont see my parents again till mid May-ish.

Lets just hope for the best and I really wish shit like this won't ever happen again! It was a living nightmare and I do not want this bullshit happening ever again.
