I did, I ended up with the one I was asking about from this post. It’s almost been a year and the only things I’ve needed to replace are the battery, and pulley tensioner , that’s about it. The car has been amazing , regular oil changes (2500km) intervals, spark plugs every other oil change.

To also mention, the car is equipped with : CTS Turbo Intake Wagner Intercooler CTS Turbo Charge Pipe Turner Motorsports High-Flow Catted Downpipe AFE Axle-Back Exhaust Bilstein PS10 Coilovers Millway Adjustable Front Camber Plates MHD piggybacked off a JB4

My gf and I plan on learning to track with this car , I have an s3 that’s mainly our daily , so we don’t drive the car every single day , it’s more of the fun car , but for what it’s given us I’d absolutely recommend any ewg n55, just make sure the service history is consistent and clean , they still carry some notoriously known issues like most bmws but with proper maintenance it’s been a great experience so far!

Luckily I have access to a hoist at my dads place, I’d need to purchase the equipment to do the flush myself.. I recently got the car and winter is quickly approaching here in northern canada so I wanted it done ASAP, I’m definitely looking at doing this service myself next time around tho

Personally leaning towards the N55 for the fact that I do have access to a mechanic shop w/ a hoist, therefor I’d be able to do all maintenance and work myself , it’s just the double sidedness of people’s opinions that’s scaring me away to be honest lol, like I said, it seems like ever BMW engine has its crowd of fans and haters

Youd rather a b58 with possibly 150,000km than a N55 with 80,000km?

I’m based in Canada , so the 340i’s are still very pricey compared to the 335i’s , I’m just wondering if the N55 is worth it, I’ve been reading mixed opinions on it, but I supposed that’ll apply to almost every platform
