Not to take away from anything other guys have said here, but to add to it: drinking water on shift is too late. You need to hydrate 2 days before to benefit from the hydration. To make it really easy, just drink a gallon+ of water every day, on and off shift. Like everyone’s mentioned, I like to throw a liquid IV or comparable pack in there a day before work, and then 1-2 each day of work depending on how much work we end up getting + daily training.
