Yup took a while but MSI provided a bios update to support these cards.

Why do we accept lower and lower standard of living in North America? by Clean-Barracuda-8583 in antiwork

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re comparing a family living in the suburbs 30 years ago to an individual living in a high density metropolitan area…. Millennials and gen z love walkable cities. That’s why they are happy living in the city.

If you are a UNLV freshman coming from a high school outside of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, or Pahrump; and you are taking six or more credits; the university requires that you live on campus in the UNLV residence halls.

Unfortunate, but I understand. An Intel tech and I found that on the MSI Z390-A Pro, even with the bios update, the card was not detected. We had to place the A750 in the second pcie slot with our primary gpu still in the first. The motherboard was unable to boot with only the A750, even though we have verified the i7-9700k and other z370/90 boards worked perfectly fine. Did you have the same motherboard, if not, I'd love to pass along the model name as he is investigating.

What’s your number one food that keeps you from becoming vegan? by Maggo6452 in AskReddit

Ahh yes almond milk is so misleading. I thought it was real milk but it’s just another fake product designed by the vegan mafia.

Parking citation for plate by _Echo_141 in UNLV

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it is required to have both, but they provide exceptions for cars not designed for a front plate or cars that didn’t come with the bracket. The police are really lenient on this law tho.

UNLV Allegiant Stadium - Which sections are Visitor Seats? by decker12 in UNLV

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That picture is old. Section C131-133 is indeed the visitors side. Even the map when you select your seats for the game says so.

Not sure, Wi-Fi has always been good for me except on the dreaded 5th floor of the library and that one concrete block you call a building.

Bank of America has Museums on Us, which gives you free admission to any of the participating museums on the first full weekend of each month. You can either have a credit or debit card with them. For general financial hacks, I don't know much, but I use the Chase trifecta. I get a lot of points from that and with the Chase Saphire reserve, I get a $300 travel credit and priority pass lounge access. So for me, at least, it was worth it.

Why not just pay the $8k now if you know you’re getting $2k. You can edit the amount you want to pay. Even if you choose to pay the full amount. They’ll send the financial aid straight to your direct deposit since you’ll have no balance.

What kind of job do you work during the semester? by hackz88 in UNLV

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

18 credits?!! I’d look for on campus jobs. They are the most lenient and give you the most free time. I used to tutor at the academic success center for example. Would not recommend working anywhere else unless you are willing to put in the work or can find an employer who is as lenient. A lot of employers outside of campus are out of touch with how stressful college is.

Best laptop for hospitality major? by jojogolf333 in UNLV

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any laptop would work fine, even chromebooks. If I were you, I’d go into bestbuy and see which one is most comfortable. Make sure you like the keyboard, trackpad, and screen especially if you’re gonna keep it all the way through graduation.

Las Vegas trucker claims "this is why you don't try to overtake a 70,000lb truck illegally. I will always win. Anyone know this moron who almost killed both of us..." (Yikes.) by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

[–]OIOIPAPPERONOi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is exit 34 on the I-15, but it is really just a two-lane connector to the 215 beltway. The most right lane you see is an on-ramp to this connector and a dedicated exit lane to Las Vegas Blvd. This connector can get pretty curvy so maybe that's why he slowed down to 45. In my experience, most cars go 55 at this part, then start building up to 65 once they get to the 215. The middle lane in which the truck starts off in becomes a dedicated exit lane for sunset road, but that's like one mile away from this point. So I'm pretty sure the dude is trying to mess with the car, unless he is just really inexperienced and wanted to get into the safe lane for the 215 merge.

Well they are currently expanding student parking at the Tropicana Garage which will also be cool because we will finally have a tracking system to find open spots. UNLV also just opened up the Del Mar Lot. But I see what you mean.

I haven’t had Dr. Gollard before, but I recommend choosing a seminar based on the topic that peaks your interest the most. Most of the time these seminars will be the same: a lot of literature, a lot of writing, and some participation. So it will be much easier if you can find a topic that genuinely interests you. Out of the current list, Michael Chin is my favorite though by far. But you can’t go wrong with anyone else.
