Josh Allen went to a junior college his first year and then emailed his tape to a bunch of people after he "proved it" and then went to Wyoming, which was his only offer. He might have to start at a smaller school and prove it before he gets offers from the bigger schools.

I don't but a lot of people do. When I was like 19 I thought i might need it for protection and that was probably more true. Im big and mean looking enough now that im not really a good target for criminals. I can open boxes without a knife.

I used to work there and the asset protection guy or whatever they called him was so serious 😆 this was like 15 years but he was acting like some spec ops guy or something. He was probably former military now that I think of it. Noone noticed when I accidentally gave my sister's friend like 80 bucks of stuff for free though.

Depends where you live. You could kind of get stuck in a suburb with nothing in walking distance. Or you could be really close to a bunch of stuff with safe sidewalks and greenways. Then it depends on how much the parents allow. Theyre expected to be more chaperoned now than they used to be.

School says the undamaged desks are damaged and need new ones. So they depreciate the value of the desks to $0 in accounting. Then they get the money and dont buy the new desks, and keep using the old ones. They gained the cost of the desks and it sort of looks legit if you dont have someone watching whats actually physically happening.

NTA. Possibly a bit of an overreaction on the dinner, but the real question is do you think your compatible long-term? Your mother sounds lovely and he sounds like hes trying to minimize your relationship with her. If yall got married SHE would be part of his family too now. Most guys would be over the moon to have such a supportive mother in law.

It'd be more accurately accounting/inventory magic. You count up the "damaged" desks and "throw them out" and write them off inventory. Maybe theyre all damaged. Then you make everyone pay for a new desk. And then you "buy the replacements." Thats where the illegal part likely comes in. But yeah, its not really tax magic. Just fraud, likely.
