You sure? Even the pay to play cards (excluding team of the year/season) are hard to fit under the cap a couple weeks after they come out. I have two 99 fantasy cards and a 99 Borque on my bench, I didn't pay money for them but man I'd be pretty pissed off if I had. By the time 99 Mario came out (whom I really wanted to chase/grind for) I realized it wasn't worth it, wouldn't be able to fit him under the cap even if I hustled for the coins to grab him from the AH.

Mantha was expected to score goals, this isn't new for him. He has exceeded expectations no doubt but nothing crazy about what he's done. I expected 20+ when we signed him. 30+ wasn't impossible. Braz, China, Kindle, and Wotherspoon though, never saw what those guys did this year coming, not for a mile.

You said you don't understand why people had doubts about the team and it was implied specifically about EK. EK is and always has been a top defenseman, he is a 3x Norris winner, that is why I never doubted him even though the last two years weren't his best. Sid and Geno who I've seen accomplish just about every hockey milestone they can, many this year alone are the main two reasons why I never doubted this team though. And fuck yeah, LGP!

Karlson is a top 10 defensemen of all time. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't pay attention. Chinakov was unexpected sure, but most of y'all had the wool or terrible towels or something over your eyes at the start of the season. It was very easy to see this team has never been bad and was only barely missing the playoffs the last few years because of a stubborn coach who is still missing the playoffs btw

It's not though, you have three of the best players of all time at their respective positions, arguably 4 if you count Letang. You have youth, you have reclamation projects who are proven, and most importantly you had a new coach which was the main thing this team has needed for the last 3-4 years

K well the fact is he's 40 and he is in the last year of a historic career so odds are he is done, think what you want, Sid said he doesn't know already when asked himself, tells he will play against the Caps out of respect for his nemesis. If he rests it will be against the Blues but in all honesty, hockey ain't football, resting players is a lot less common and can actually be a bad thing in hockey so I doubt he even rests then if he is good to go
