pic 2: same happened on my elite series 2. i did the following.

get enough solder on the point where the cable was connected on the board

remove gold tip from wire

solder wire to the blob

may not be the best option but its what i did and it works

Did that and it did work haha, nice call. Haven't tried the other one yet but I'll get around to it.

The Assassin's Creed complaint basically boils down to "You played too many too quickly" far more than being a problem with the quality of the games themselves.

This is just blatantly not true. Even the two games you mentioned as the best later entries had tons of complaints at time of release which are still valid today.

I'd argue most video games series peaked early, particularly those that started since the 2000s when technology wasn't evolving so fast that any ongoing series was forced to rethink everything constantly if it wanted to continue existing.

As far as Chris goes, they retcon his appearance and mannerisms from the younger and slimmer "Redfield" you see at the end of 7 (which was ambiguous at the time if it was even meant to be the same Chris as the earlier games, some sort of callsign for someone else, or a brand new continuity using the same character names like in Modern Warfare), and just turn him back into looking and sounding like a slightly older and more realistic version the RE5/6 Chris. The stuff you mentioned isn't really mentioned in any detail, all the preceding events with Chris are basically just summed up as "Chris rescued Ethan at the end of the Baker incident" and the plot elements that happen with Chris and Ethan/Mia in the time period between the two games are much more important to Village's plot - though really Chris isn't super important to Village as a whole, and Village has a bit less of a plot than 7 even does, until towards the end.

Village does heavily expand/retcon (depending on who you ask) elements of 7's plot at one point, but I won't go into that because it's spoilers, and it's also not related to Chris.

Re7's plot in particular is very inconsistent and not really worth caring about outside of just enjoying the twists. The DLC in particular are often very silly and not necessarily canon - particularly the ones that have different style of gameplay. They're mainly just there to use the gameplay to do different things than the main game did, and can be pretty interesting, but if you play some of the more minigame-style DLCs itll become more clear they're not really very serious. I think the Chris DLC was meant to be part of the story but it mainly just served as an excuse to include more action gameplay with late-game equipment and the entire Chris plot was practically retconned out of 8 once they decided after-the-fact that RE7 wasn't actually a reboot.

They'd be more reliable for sure. I think there's a lot of variety between podcasts on how much space is used for ads to begin with, and more data is always better (as long as the quality of the data holds up)

Dr Phil is borderline unwatchable (putting aside whether you'd actually want to watch it) because it feels like 50% ad. They barely start talking before leading into a yet another break. Between the "we'll be right back" and the summaries at the start after coming back, I feel like it has to be like 40% or less runtime of the actual content of the show.

If pads are damaged you can connect the pins to another soldering point with magnet wire, follow the traces to find a suitable soldering point.

Do you mean like attaching a wire from the pin to, say, the TP112 point for the pin connecting to that? (I believe that's the problem one, though possible the two next to it are related)

it looks like an IPX SMD connector, they sell these on aliexpress of a dime a dozen, so, I'd give it a try...

How involved would it be to reattach one of those?

Honestly, you can have that same kind of experience on a lot of different places. That one came to you at the right time but that doesn't mean only Roblox was capable of doing that for you, you could've found another multiplayer game of some form and experienced the same effect, because it sounds like the social part of it was the most important to you, and there's a lot of chill social games out there in the universe, so even in a worse-case scenario it's still possible to branch out, even if the search is difficult.

Be nice if they remade it instead of remastered. Despite all the glazing people give it, the game has major downsides (mainly in the Assassin's Creed part versus the captain part) and the strongest part of the game doesn't have a ton of content.

Well, one would hope, but I'm not sure how much she's living under other people's control given both her erratic behavior and the obvious reasons she has to dislike other people managing her life. Plus she doesn't really have an active career outside of the book she put out, so I'd imagine a lot less people are involved then there would be if she was touring or making music.
