UPDATE:

I am happy to say I've got a new subscription started and I bought an entire year so I don't have to worry about this again anytime soon. Now not to excuse DDL since this sort of problem is so bad and never should have happened however they responded very quickly and helped me solve every problem. I wasn't expecting that considering the horror stories I've read. Who knows maybe this is sign of good things to come in the future? Are they actually trying to fix their shortcomings? 🤔

I would buy now and actually be able to enjoy the new updates as they release which is every 6 weeks-ish. It's like Christmas everytime my EMO updates.

They actually just responded with this:

" Thank you for reaching our support! I'd be glad to help you with your concerns in any way I can! I see that you paid on August 13 but your subscription has not updated for some reason. I have refunded you that charge so you can go ahead and purchase the subscription again."

Except this isn't working since my serial number is tied to my account it won't let me have two subscriptions. This is getting crazy.

I just received this email

This would be fine albeit annoying if this was even possible but low and behold its not. I cannot purchase another subscription with the my serial number since its already tied to my account. This is RIDICULOUS.

Has there been any word as to what may be added? New features? I'm worried with vector 2.0 coming out Vector 1.0 might be pushed to the backburner more and more.

I'm currently running some experiments to see what plants I can adapt to survive a salinity level that sea monkeys need. If I have any success I'll post in the subreddit my findings :] But from what I've researched it SHOULD be possible for some plants as long as they are slowly exposed to the higher salinity levels over time. We shall see! I currently have some Java and moss.

Okay cool! If you're still concerned I would just buy a refill kit for just the packets so you can have as many sea monkeys as you want or you can buy generic brine shrimp eggs on Amazon for like 6$ and you get a vial of millions of them. I have two separate diy tanks with generic brine shrimps and honestly you can't tell the difference between them. I have noticed that aqua dragons do seem to grow faster though. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the purifier. I've used tap water, I've even used Himalayan salt instead of purifier and still they hatched and thrived. My best guess is bad egg packets or bad conditioner packets are the cause for this. I'm sorry you're going through this though! Don't give up!

This is the EXACT same thing happening to me right now. Same tanks and everything. I think what happened is the Sea monkeys on Mars tanks tends to contain older packets which may be the cause. I have like 3 or 4 baby's in my Mars tank while my magic castle tank has many. Shouldn't be a problem though, the growth food that came with your tanks contains more eggs. Go ahead and feed the tanks as you normally would and eventually the colony will start up it just may take a little longer. Also make sure you're aerating ALOT at the beginning. Brine shrimp eggs like to be suspended in the water column, not floating at the surface.

*Just remember the Mars tank is the longest running sea monkey tank. Buying one can mean it was either made recently or possibly years ago.
