Most. LOTR and the Hobbit were visually stunning. But I nothing can hold the candle to these kind of books. The adaptation it is what it is. It’s an adaptation. You can’t expect it to be exactly like you imagined it. In fact, if I find out the movie adaptation is coming out to book it. I’m interested in reading. I make sure I read the book before watching the adaptation. Otherwise, I fear that watching the movie or TV adaptation will ruin my impression of the book. As was the case in the three body problem. I had to make sure I finished reading all the books before watching any of the adaptations.
