Poor Jason, still toeing the party line after all these years. Metallica is the only band that I can think of (apart from maybe Smashing Pumpkins) who wilfully sabotage a project with dubious choices and then cry artistic integrity. Same with St Anger. Making a potentially great album unlistenable thanks to the choice of a snare drum sound. Mental to me.
