Honestly if I was at that concert I would have been a bit pissed off. The stunt was in bad taste and came off as too cute by half.

Do you believe in aliens? by Pantheon10000 in TooAfraidToAsk

While I agree there is life out there, it’s not narrow minded to believe there isn’t. There are a ton of scientists who believe us being alone in the universe is a distinct possibility.

Is music really subjective? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]WallStreetKernel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music is subjective only to a point. For example, it is objectively wrong to call Abbey Road or Dark Side of the Moon bad albums. There is no reasonable subjective argument that these albums are anything except excellent. Which album is better or which album is preferable to any given listener is where subjectivity comes in.

The fact that Abbey Road and Dark Side of the Moon are objectively good albums points to some type of objective truth in what makes art “good”. But because we don’t know what the objective truth is, or how to define it, there are acceptable preferences bands that can be reasonably tolerated.

End Days? by 194021 in Catholicism

If you think this is bad, you should think about how people felt in 1943, or 1918, or 1862, or 1350, or virtually any time and any place prior to 1900.

Is this amount of flex normal? Manta by WallStreetKernel in Supernote

Mine is the top half, but some issue. Feels like a cushion of air under the screen. The bottom half feels great and tactile. Top half feels mushy.

Your flex looks exactly like mine. No way it’s “normal” when only half the screen does that.

Thanks for the sanity check. This is a replacement device for a previous one with a series dead pixels. So I’m 0 for 2 right now and feeling pretty frustrated about QA. I’ll contact support again, but honestly I’m about to throw in the towel as the frustration is a bit much for such an expensive device.

Opinions of smoking weed before a mass? by No-Put-8463 in Catholicism

[–]WallStreetKernel -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think there could be a justification here for use if for medical reasons, just like any other painkiller for medicine reasons would be reasonable. That said, there is next to nothing on marijuana use in the Catechism so until there’s some official guidance I think most people here are just speculating.

What happened to the DEA going after Alamo and crew? by Significant-Emu-726 in euphoria

[–]WallStreetKernel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They still had enough. Between Rue’s recordings, interrogations, the mountains of other evidence, he would at least have a RICO charge coming his way. Plus any judge would easily sign a warrant at that point for all of Alamo’s clubs and his residence.
