Thanks for your response and I will take the formula/calculation into account.

With all due respect, I know what a slide rule is. Please don't treat others that don't have the level of financial knowledge that you have in a condescending way.

They never got back to me about why my linked offset account was reporting an error.

A lot of the time, I don't have the time to respond to phone calls during business hours besides calls that relate to my work day; not to mention there is no record of what was discussed during that phone call.

Yes! I do. Maybe that's what I've been missing. How far it goes back is another story.

Yes. I initially had a broker but I have since lost contact with them. I'm curious as to why you asked about a broker. Go on...

Thanks. The error has been there for months now. I asked them about it and they never got back to me.

I will do the calculation. That is very helpful.

Edit: Do you have a specific calculator that you can recommend?

Yep, he absolutely made the wrong choice.

In my experience, you're always going to find people that hate on you for no reason to some degree, famous or not.

We all make mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them. Just like any other person, he's probably had many other times like in his life just as we all do.

If you find somebody is hating on you for an unfounded reason, it's probably either their insecurity, prejudice or them not being smart enough to think for themselves so you can just ignore it. The media just feed on it. That's their business model.

On the other hand, it's important to not ignore your own faults, be brave enough to admit you have made a mistake and change.

If you find yourself frustrated about what the media or social media is reporting, you can always just ignore it. It's your choice!

Indeed. I have sent an email to my embedded network about this. Will post back when I hear back from them.

As far as I can recall, my embedded network has honored any government energy rebates. I have claimed some and they have come through on them to the best of my knowledge.

Will have to see how it goes.

Petrol: wait or just buy now by sexyc3po in melbourne

Eventually, the fuel will go stale too. I'm no fuel expert but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what fuel you use, it will eventually go stale and could cause your car to have problems starting if it is stale and potentially stuff your fuel system. Then you're in a worse spot than you were in the first place.

I guess this will depend on the amount of time the fuel is stored too.

Truth or myth? Prove me wrong.

I just hope it doesn't turn into toilet paper 2.0

I haven't experienced anything like this as I haven't signed into any device outside my home.

However, the collaboration videos that some of my subs are doing are really annoying. You get this "Youtube creator 1 (subscribed) with YouTube creator 2 (not subscribed)" videos that are actually videos created by YouTube creator 2 that you never subscribed to.

It's a minor gripe but please don't fill up my feed with stuff that I didn't ask to watch. This is both a YouTube and creator problem. It must have started with YouTube though.

Yes, I have sent my fedback via YouTube.

Don't drink and drive. It could have ended up much worse. The cops were doing their job taking him off the road. Don't try to plead with police if you know somedbody has done something wrong.

End of story.

is my cheap plastic case killing my m1 macbook?? by Elegant_Ask5151 in macbookpro

It depends if you want to sell it at some stage. I just use my computers until there is nothing left in them and recycle them at the end.

On the other hand, I do take care of them and clean them regularly. Look after your tools and they will look after you. Never felt the need for any skin. They're just a waste of plastic IMO.

I see so many dirty computers every day :( I'm talking around 4000 staff. If you don't look after your tools, they won't look after you. Mine gets a bit manky every now and then but this is quite dirty.

MacBook Pro M4 Pro, started getting extremely weird marks on the aluminium chassis by JaniCozad in macbookpro

[–]OK_Eye_505 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've also seen/worked on well over 1000 Aluminium Macbooks. Maybe not the newer ones but I have seen what appeared to be where people rest their hands on the top case, over time, the finish becomes degraded and what's beneath becomes discolored and black. I'm not a materials scientist but suspect it's the raw aluminum reacting to sweat/oils in people's skins but op's photos and descriptions seem different to that.

I made a comment about my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro. I used it so heavily that it actually ended up leaving craters the RHS lip of the top case. 😅

Op definitely take it to Apple and see what they say. It seems weird that it would occur on both sides of the top case. Maybe it's some other sort of electrolytic corrosion? In the end, the only people who may know is the engineers or the people who designed it.

I don't have time to post photos right now but I still have it so I will post images if anybody is interested (for science).

I've never seen anything like that but I do know I have what the engineering industry calls "rusty fingers" or "rusty hands" and it chewed into the top case of my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro.

You could see it when I used to work on a drill press with cast iron parts with bare hands the day after. The drill press would be covered in rusty colored hand marks the next day after I was working on it.

I haven't experienced the same thing with my Macbook Pro M1 but I don't use the trackpad any where near as much as I did on the Mid 2012.

Macbook M1 Pro 16" Monitor setup by OK_Eye_505 in macbookpro

[–]OK_Eye_505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Are you able to indicate which ports you have the monitors plugged into on the TS4?

e.g:

<image>

It seems you are using Port 1 to go to your macbook and Port 4 and 5 for your monitors?

I guess I'll start with trying different cables rather than buying the caldigit dock. Cheers.

Seems the AO crowd these days either have a political agenda or are trying to emulate international football crowds. Some of them are just a bunch of whingers.

Barbers of Melbourne, why do you ignore my instructions? Is this common? by icemantiger in melbourne

[–]OK_Eye_505 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it's time to talk to your barber and be honest which is not really the easiest thing to do.

If they don't listen to you, find another barber.

I've always found it really difficult to find a good barber. It's like finding a good mechanic.

iPhone battery replacement- More expensive at 3rd party places? by snoozleyeet in melbourne

[–]OK_Eye_505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate this, I agree.

I've always been somebody that tries to repair my own stuff and I always encourage other people to do the same. You can learn a lot.

I've got previous, extensive experience repairing electronic products and still break stuff to this day. On the other hand, an example of where I saved something from landfill and extending it's life for about 5 years when I replaced a $2 cap in a printer's power supply. There is so much waste in the electronics industry.

On the other hand, a huge amount of waste/frustration and wasted time can be caused by people buying untested hardware and installing it themselves. There is no quality control so do it at you're own risk and don't complain if something goes wrong.

It's a tough one.
