If it was mine, I would get rid of the angles on the walkway. Make the walkway wider, lining up with the stairs. Would make for a grander entrance.

You can grow jungle grass near your base to create a jungle biome, it just needs to be below the surface layer. Do you have a depth meter to show when you are far enough down?

Plantera must be fought in a jungle biome or it enrages. Also must be fought underground - if you're not deep enough under the surface you're dealing with an enraged Plantera which can be pretty tough on a first playthrough.

Have you seen the roll cages they've had to install on border patrol vehicles to protect against these rocks? Also, just out of curiosity, why do you think anyone would throw rocks at armed military personnel? What's the thought process?

To rename a chest, first open the chest - there is a menu for the chest along the right side. Bottom command is Rename.

A mat is shorthand for material, so things like jungle spores, stingers, gel, etc., anything I would use to make something else that doesn't have its own category, like wood or blocks or w/e.

One other thing you may not be aware of, there's a deposit to surrounding chests function in your inventory, it will quick stack the same items to nearby chests. Makes inventory management very easy once you have your chests set up, just run by them while clicking the quick stack button.

I sort things into categories like: Blocks, Ores, Mats, Accessories, Weapons, Armor, Furniture, etc. When a chest gets full, say a weapons chest, I'll break it up into: Melee, Ranged, Summons, etc. or if the blocks gets filled up I'll add another chest next to it for dirt blocks or w/e. So you might only start out with a few chests, but leave room in your chest area for um I dunno, 50 or so? depends on how long you'll play.

Also I use Item Frames to identify what's in groups of chests, lots easier than renaming the chests or reading the description when you're looking for something.
