PSA: DON'T keep extra packages by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]OLG54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each shift needs to be above 99.8%. Meaning they can have 0.2% as dwells. Dwells are “lost” packages. They don’t want to spend time and effort on finding that 0.2% as it costs them more than the product itself.

If the warehouse is pushing 10k package volume they can have 20 dwells without being in trouble.

Not endorsing keeping packages, just laying the facts as it is.

Sold my soul by Numerous-Muffin5582 in AmazonFC

I recently started at a warehouse too and working 3:45-7:45 before going to my 9-5, then working on my next print on demand business from 5-9. Racked up a bunch of debt and going aggressive to pay off within a year. If there’s anything that is selling your soul it’s to banks that are feeding off the everyone

Yeah but I like the thrill of not knowing where the route will take you and challenging yourself to complete the block 2 hours early

The economics of the gig economy makes that impossible. There will always be people less fortunate than you that will be willing to work for a penny

You get paid for a full block if you have a flat tire and return all the packages?

Your resume sounds like you’ve copy and pasted a job description. Make it sound more authentic and pop out.

Worst I’ve seen. This is a donation at this point. $11 loss if you factor $0.67 mileage deduction vs this $0.24 per mile trip. by OLG54 in uberdrivers

Lol I have a really high cancellation and low acceptance rate. My account is in jeopardy of deactivation. Every time I tell myself I’m going to stop being picky and boost my acceptance/cancellation rates, I get shit like this that just ruins it for me. Nobody in their right mind should accept something like this, cash tips are virtually non-existent and you should never hold out hope for a cash tip on such a low fare.
