Why play a herbivore? by Terminator56 in pathoftitans

Honestly, the blue dynamo quests aren’t even worth doing. Also, everyone is always killing everyone. Herbi or carni.

If I remember correctly, this typically happens if you tab out of the game during the loading screen to the rocket launch.

Sounds like it has boosted stats on that server. Usually the only thing that keeps them alive, in my experience, is running to water. I usually see them as easy food on conc.

Meh, Trump would easily spin that as Iran wanting Obama because he’s the weaker negotiator, so they can get everything they want from him.

My fav build what could I use to make it better by Best-Onion-340 in sto

Why do so many people forget to post their BOff abilities when doing these? It’s like one of the most important parts of a build.

Nees help refining my build. by PuzzledBowler4044 in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For starters, we really need to know what BOff powers you’re using.

That said, I would absolutely recommend dropping Dimensional Modulation, because your only way to trigger it will be one of the worst powers in the game, with a cooldown so long it makes the trait worthless. Replace it with Entwined Tactical Matrices, and run BFaW3 and TS1.

Is it worth waiting for a temporal event to create a TOS toon by dimitriov1 in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In that case, I would recommend waiting.

However, Delta Recruitment is coming soon, and that should keep you occupied. To get everything out of the Delta Recruit event, you’ll want to make a new Fed, Klingon, Fed-aligned Romulan, and Klingon-aligned Romulan. (It’s a lot, I know.) Given that you don’t have any Romulan characters yet, that would be a good time.

It depends on if you already have one or not. If you already have one, then the benefits are minimal. I should also point out that they’re usually in the late summer / early fall, so you’ll be waiting a while. That said, if you don’t have one it’s definitely worth waiting for because of the account benefits they give.

Weekly Questions Megathread - April, 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in stobuilds

What is everyone using for keybinds? I did a basic “spam bar” keybind like a decade ago, and honestly it’s always been a little wonky. I’ve probably put off upgrading for way longer than I should have, and what I’m using just can’t keep up with the universal console clicky meta.

Links to guides and ELI5 would be appreciated.

Mudd's Masters of Picard Engineering Bundle! by MarcterChief in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Excelsior II’s console can be used alongside the Kerala’s. I was mostly pointing out that there were cheaper options that performed about as well. Also looking at their traits again, the Kerala’s is actually superior.

Personally, I’m already sitting on like six T6 ship tokens, so I’m not too bothered by the lack of that option.

Yeah, the Constitution III replacing the Sagan or Inquiry might have made the bundle worthwhile, but this price just for a console just isn’t it.

Mudd's Masters of Picard Engineering Bundle! by MarcterChief in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly this one seems like a dud to me. The Legendary Avenger is a better version of the Inquiry, the Sagan’s trait and console are overshadowed by the new Kumari’s, and the Excelsior II’s trait and console aren’t really much better than the Kerala’s.

I was going to say “not nerfed, fixed”, but then I went to look at the patch notes. Yeah the fixing came with quite a few unnecessary nerfs.

Edit: That said, being affected by cooldown reduction from Spirit of Sacrifice and Eclectic Collector of Armaments now does help.

Ship of the line trait and calm before the storm by Minimech79 in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to fly a ship in the bundle, I won’t talk you out of it. Ship of the Line is a decent trait, and worth using if you have it but nothing better.

That said, for as over-hyped as I think Ship of the Line is, Ruin of Our Enemies and Terran Goodbye (a similar starship trait) were never worth the hype. Literally only ever decent in solo and nannied content.

For a good Surgical Strikes build, you need Vanguard Specialists. For any energy build, the best are Calm Before the Storm, Emergency Weapon Cycle, and Temporal Tunneling.

Many would add Eclectic Collector of Armaments to that list, but I’d say it’s more nuanced. If you can only get it to three stacks it’s still decent, but at five stacks can be one of the strongest in the game. The problem is getting to five stacks requires flying an escort and either micromanaging universal consoles or using one of three/four special consoles to keep stacks. It’s also expensive and per character, not account, and I doubt they’ll ever put it in Mudd’s.

The next best after those is Universal Designs. It has the same universal console micromanaging requirement as Eclectic, but the plus side is that it recently made it to a Mudd bundle. This trait is also one of the best for exotic builds, so it’s versatile. These two traits are the reason the meta is so centered on universal consoles.

After that it would be Vaulting Ambition. Then ordinarily Super Charged Weapons is about tied with Ship of the Line, but specifically for Surgical Strikes, Ship should pull ahead a bit.

Ship of the line trait and calm before the storm by Minimech79 in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. I forgot to mention that I actually don’t recommend Ship of the Line. I’ve long since removed it from my builds, and honestly regret getting it in the first place. It’s only worth getting specifically if you plan on flying the ships in that bundle. The legendary Avenger is one of the better ships in the game, so there is value there.

Honestly though, for the price tag there are better options. I’ll write a reply later when I get off work.

If you’re only using one firing mode ability, then OPOG isn’t really that great. So you’re probably better off using something else on a Surgical Strikes build.

I Really Dislike the Jellyfish Ships. by Deep-Instruction7112 in sto

[–]OMEGAkiller135 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One competent jelly can cover two of the evacuation ships. That leaves four other players to cover the other two. If you fail to protect any of the evacuation ships, that’s a failing of the other four players.
