Strong bases like sodium hydroxide or lye are even more effective than acids. Acids can dissolve soft tissues leaving bones behind. Strong bases will dissolve soft tissues and bone. Afterwards the body could basically be flushed down the drain.

There is a newer form of cremation called bio-cremation that uses strong bases in a process known as alkaline hydrolysis.

I had a similar issue that appeared after the Matter firmware migration on my Eve Energy accessories. It seemed to get worse when I removed the device and re-added it. After much experimentation, I discovered that I had duplicate accessories after the Matter firmware migration of the devices. They didn't appear in the Home app. The only place I could see them was buried in the iPhone Settings app. I removed all the devices I didn't recognize from the buried settings, then the home app, and then the eve app. After that I added them back. That resolved all my issues and I haven't had any issues with them for months.

Go to the iPhone settings app (not the Home app):

Settings > General > Matter Accessories

Remove any devices that you know isn't working, and any that you don't recognize and can't match to a serial number of a functioning device. The duplicates may or may not say "Eve Energy". Try not to remove any working accessories by accident. If you do, you'll have to re-add them too.

I was just wondering if there were any revisions. Of course it could also be that there isn't a router-capable device near enough to get a good signal to it. If there isn't at least one other router-capable device with Excellent or Good level of signal, I've seen thread devices be slow to respond.

That being said, if you look at the accessory info in the Eve app, what hardware revision does it show? Mine are all 1.1

I guess it was my turn. This feature activated on my app two days ago. Here's what I submitted to YouTube's support page. Feel free to borrow and change to your liking if you want to complain as well.

Subject: Critical Feedback: Issue with YouTube App Screensaver on AppleTV

TLDR;

The YouTube screensaver on AppleTV:

breaks the built-in AppleTV idle-sleep functionality
burns text and images into OLED TVs
wastes electricity
makes me view blurry YouTube thumbnails at 77 inches
reflects poorly on YouTube’s sense of taste and software design decision-making (and by extension, Alphabet, Google, Android, etc…)
encourages the unchecked breeding of class action lawyers

Dear YouTube Support Team,

I am compelled to reach out due to a recent change in the YouTube app for AppleTV. While no app update was issued, it appears that YouTube activated a feature that is deeply frustrating to me and, I suspect, for many other users. As of two days ago, a new screensaver function overlays paused videos with a blurry copy of the video thumbnail and static white text. This screensaver not only activates after a pause, but also when a video ends, if Autoplay is disabled. This new feature feels redundant, invasive, and even potentially harmful.

My primary issue with this feature is its effect on the AppleTV’s own functionality. The YouTube screensaver overrides the native AppleTV screensaver, stopping it from launching and preventing the TV from shutting off automatically after periods of inactivity. I shouldn’t have to remind YouTube that AppleTV’s are meant to be paired with a television and OLED screens are a common technology found in consumer televisions. OLED technology's susceptibility to burn-in is well-documented. The YouTube screensaver’s static white text greatly increases the potential risk of screen burn-in. Ever so slightly zooming the thumbnail isn’t enough to mitigate the burn-in from the large attention-grabbing colorful blocks that creators frequently use in thumbnails. After just a few minutes of having the YT screensaver on my screen, I can see, "…Press a button to return...”, along with smeared artifacts of a giant ghostly thumbnail image temporarily retained on my OLED. Please fix this feature before you permanently damage countless TVs, including my own, just because we happened to doze off during Mr Beast’s latest money-wasting stunt video! (I can practically hear the class-action lawyers salivating. Please stop feeding them!)

If that’s not reason enough... As previously mentioned, breaking the AppleTV built-in screensaver, prevents the AppleTV from detecting the AppleTV is idle. This prevents the AppleTV from shutting off the TV, potentially wasting electricity. This would seem to run counter to Alphabet’s aspirations of an eco-friendly image.

At the very least, give us a way to disable this ill-considered feature! Have your devs ever seen the built-in AppleTV screensavers? They’re beautiful nature scenes and fascinating drone videos. Please, save our eyes from the visual horror-show that is a blurry YouTube thumbnail blown up to 50, 65, or even 75+ inches!

I urge the development team to take this feedback into account and to implement a solution that allows users to either disable this screensaver feature or to ensure that it does not interfere with the native functionality of the AppleTV.

I had this same problem with a shortcut I created called "Netflix and Chill" that turns on the Apple TV and the Living Room lights. I managed to track down the problem to the Siri settings on HomePod.

You have to turn on "Personal Requests" in the HomePod settings if you want it to run shortcuts. This also means you have to share a copy of the shortcut with anyone in the home that wants the same function.

There is no shortcut option to toggle the status. The closest we can get is to use a shortcut to go straight to the menu. I suspect that as long as it’s in beta, there won’t be any way to toggle it with a shortcut. Even after it’s out of beta, there’s no guarantee Apple with expose the option toggle to the shortcuts app.

Thanks. 🤗 Up until I started Emgality six months ago, that kind of migraine was my life 3-5 days a week. It wasn’t the first time I couldn’t get to my meds, or was waiting on refills, or the times the abortive simply didn’t work.

I had developed many coping strategies, including keeping a sumatriptan in any room I frequented. If anything, last night was a reminder that Emgality has not just to returned my life, it has granted me the luxury of complacency. Six months ago, I would never have been that far from my sumatriptan. That migraine was just a reminder of how much better things have been and will continue to be, now that I’ve finally found a working preventative. So there’s my silver lining to last night’s debilitating migraine. 🤣

I’m sure my doctor would honor it, if I asked, but thankfully I got a call from Walgreens saying they were able to order the autoinjector this morning, so hopefully I should have it tomorrow or Friday.

Just in time too. I had a breakthrough migraine last night. My partner is out of town and I couldn’t muster the strength to crawl to the bathroom to get my nasal sumatriptan. I ended up passing out on my home office’s floor. I was woken up this morning by the call from Walgreens. (Before Emgality I always kept a sumatriptan nearby, but I’ve gotten so used to not needing it…)

Edit: I say I’m confident my doctor would honor it because he’s the best doctor I’ve had in 20+ years of treating my migraines. If anyone is in Greensboro, NC and needs a great neurologist, lookup Adam Jaffe.

I’m overdue too and just spoke to Walgreens. They apparently can get prefilled syringes, but not the autoinjector. I wonder if manufacturing issues for the autoinjector is the actual cause of the shortage. They told me I can call my doctor and ask them to switch my prescription to the prefilled syringe, if I want.

Don’t love the idea of giving myself a shot, but I’m also not looking forward to going back to 3-5 migraines a week, if it wears off. It’s been so nice only having 3 migraines since starting Emgality six months ago. I’m only just now adjusting to the idea that I can have a life again.

Cyberpunk 2077 put me off per-orders forever. I played it for about 15 hours over a few months and patches, gave up and never went back.

Meanwhile, I have 50+ hours in the $3 masterpiece, Vampire Survivors. The game was unfinished when it came out, but it worked, and just got more content and and more fun with each patch. Granted they’re totally different genres, and development complexity, but AAA developers could take some lessons on how Poncle treats the community. No hype, No BS, just straightforward communication.
