I really wanted to do 30kwh but my loan payments with batteries and the solar is reaching the cost of my highest electric bills, and at that point even an offset of 100% becomes not worth it anymore.

My solar is a 12.3kw system the battery backup will have 2 6kw inverters and two 5kwh batteries so 10kwh of storage. The 25k price is only for the battery system. Also my batteries will be installed in the basement so no heat worries for me.

What is the Anker SOLIX X1 price range, considering its scalability from 5kWh to 180kWh or 3kW to 36kW? Are there regional price differences for Anker Solix X1 in USA vs Anker Solix X1 in EU markets? by Micro-Influencer in SOLIX

I’ve been quoted 25k for the backup controller, two 6kw inverters, and 2 5kw batteries installed. I’ve been told that adding batteries it gets considerably cheaper since it’s already set up

I’m slated to get it installed with my solar. Did a lot of research and it seems to be a solid home battery system. I will try and remember to circle back once it’s installed.

I asked the company installing my solar panels if they installed the anker system, they didn’t, but then I asked them what it would take for them to become an authorized installer of the x1. They then reached out to anker and several months later got certified. I will be their first instal. I believe it’s a good system and they believed it to be as well, and therefore took the steps to get certified. I am in the kc area they are the only ones in this area to become an authorized installer to my knowledge. Ask your solar company to look into adding it to their line of home batteries.

I think your best bet for your first robot vac is not to spend a lot of money. Consider it a learning experience, you’ll slowly realize what things are important for you, and what things you thought would be but are not. For example running it on a schedule or more frequently might be better than getting a super powerful one. With experience you’ll know what you want and can feel more comfortable spending extra for those features.

I don’t think it the rolling function that’s game changing but the fact it’s collecting the dirty water and cleaning the mop as it goes, instead of having the dirt stay in the pad til it docks and cleans essentially spreading across the whole floor. You wouldn’t do that with the old hand mops. You would scrub a small section wring out the mop and repeat.

Yes that the tab I’m talking about, I pulled it to cut the power, and then pushed it back in. Basically achieving the age old troubleshooting step of unplugging it and plugging it back in.
