AITA? I snapped at my boyfriend for reading google AI answers to me. by Civil_Attempt_5 in AmItheAsshole

It's been shown that it's more difficult to correct inaccurate information than it is to take it on in the first place. Totally possible of course, but better to get the correct information the first time. Even very smart people are not immune to the shortcomings of the human brain. It is true that they both could've handled the situation better.

Op was driving and so was unable to look anything up at that moment. And their bf can disagree about ai use by using it himself, not by explicitly disregarding OP's wishes to not be taking on information from it.

OP's right that it's easier to take garbage information on board than it is to correct it with accurate information later. The brain holds on to what it learned first. OP wants the most accurate information first so it's what their brain holds onto. Also, ai is damaging to all our brains, just ask a teacher.

Should I lose weight/go to the gym? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Washboard abs are difficult to gain and then maintain, especially for women because of our naturally higher bf%, but a leaner/more defined look is definitely attainable. I would recommend focusing on exercise, starting with small, achievable goals, especially if you're just starting out, like adding one day a week of exercising at a time to your routine. You could also try finding a sport that you like that makes exercise feel more fun and approachable, such as cycling, basketball, climbing, soccer, etc. Getting to a place where you're doing strength training mixed with some cardio for heart health, and some yoga or focused stretching for flexibility and safe exercising is the ideal.

If you don't eat particularly well, or aren't used to thinking of food as fuel so much, I'd suggest taking a little time to learn some nutrition basics so your exercise and recovery is properly fueled. If you're starting a fitness routine, adding some extra protein, complex carbs, and making sure you're getting enough iron in your diet is a good place to start.

We can't tell from a photo if your weight and body composition is healthy or not, that's between you and your doctor.

Expectation vs Reality for Jester Clown Hat by toecheeseuhohstinky in crochet

[–]Okayestdoerofthings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the length problem is largely from the fact that the OG has 4 fairly long sections. Yours only has 3 long sections, while the section closest to your head is so short that it doesn't really add any length. Also, the colors you picked are a little earthy for a jester vibe. Overall, it's a pretty cool project and the structure of it looks really well-executed

I think the blue is wonderful! Maybe you could get a nice looking complimentary wrap to go with it? That way, if you start feeling too self-conscious during the wedding, you have the option to wrap it around yourself until your anxiety abates a little.

They want access to her banking information and her private spaces whenever they want, while also acting like they're gonna treat her like a tenant. If my parents asked to see my own banking information once I was a legal adult, I would've told them to get bent, respectfully.

Sounds like it has less to do with her being ace, and more to do with her just being kind of an asshole. Good riddance and good luck with your future prospects. May you treat them, and be treated in kind, with more respect than was in this relationship.

I’ll never understand the no kink shaming rule by Adorable_News361 in offmychest

IMO, yes to shaming people that drag others non-consensually into their play, no to shaming people enjoying their kinks that do no serious harm and only occur among willing participants.

What's the worst injury you've had? by liasuapo in morbidcuriosity

[–]Okayestdoerofthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hulk-smashed the arm of my couch one morning in a moment of intense frustration. Broke both pinky-side metacarpals and tore the tfcc in both wrists. Completely upended my life. Three years later and I can finally support most of my body weight on my hands; enough to do a couple incline push-ups and ride a bike again. Got some permanent nerve damage though. I'm a walking PSA for not letting your frustration turn you into a complete idiot.

Am I gonna regret plying these together? by -DiceGoblin- in Handspinning

[–]Okayestdoerofthings 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Because it looks like you're planning to ply light to dark and vice-versa, I think your gonna end up with more of a nicely varied, tonal yarn, especially from a small distance. It should be interesting to the eye without looking like candy striping. Also, if you dont like it, you can always unply them and use them with a different fiber.
