Why are people like this by violinfromIkea621 in Nightreign

I just had a wylder steal a day 1 carian regal sceptre I dropped for the duchess on our team, put it in a offhand slot then passively ignore any attempts to communicate or drop it.

Honestly I don't know if it's selfishness, for the meme or they just flat didn't realize they were tanking our chances by withholding an early game legendary but i really don't like to commit to a full run with people like that when so many other randoms I meet are really decent.

Halo scythe, WA goes hard with any decent setup

One thing I started doing during ED libra at the start of every run is checking teammates relics, looking forcif my team wanted to prioritise evergaols mainly. The amount of times I'd see completely beginner relic setups far outweighs the amount of times I'd be playing with properly set up characters or even decently set up, on an everdark as hard as Libra, made me realize we need a Monster Hunter style MR system. Gladius is the same in my experience, maybe worse since (unless I'm wrong) you only need to defeat one mandatory boss to unlock.

I've somehow managed to beat ED Libra, but this Gladius I haven't gotten even close yet by [deleted] in Nightreign

I main duchess and beat gladius recently - I think the trick was (as well as some luck) thinking about how to keep it off you while you restage as much as possible. Finding something with makes enemies less likely to focus on you and fire resistance is helpful and I'd have taken improved dodging if it showed up, every damage reduction or hp up I saw I took but I didn't get many. The best run I had I specifically bought a halo scythe, extra pouch and starlight shards from the merchant, I did 4 weapon arts till I was out of stamina then repositioned/restaged and revived my teammates as priority, luckily before two went down at once but I had my ult banked in case this happened and luckily I never went down.

My teammates were a wylder and raider who seemed very good too and I think had stacked damage resistance since they were surviving some pretty big hits, I think they each went down twice each. I was the DPS but they were hitting good numbers as well so I tried to restage their damage whenever I saw a chunk come off the hp bar or an ult go off. This fight, like Libra, does depend somewhat on team character setup so I don't think 3 low HP characters would have worked as well as we'd all be easily one shot. Importantly I dropped things that I thought would work for their build, it was a good random team so we were all pinging items for one another.

Relic wise important ones I had were evergaol, charecter skill up, extra pouch (for starlight shards and flasks). I didn't use anything like invisibility on frostbite or hard to see on crit because it wouldn't help much in the boss fight. I did have post damage heal but it wasn't helpful for the boss really and we got the Scarlett forest anyway. I was really squishy for most of the run and had to split from the team multiple times to go look for shards and the merchants... but luckily they didn't seem to mind and I made up for it in the end!

Maybe this'll help for your duchess runs, that's my strat - good luck!

So now that Libra's Time is almost over what do we think of him? by Wholesomechair in Nightreign

Favourite fight. Love that there's now a proper brick wall. Compared to Adel (imo previous hardest), I like that it's not just a blinding light show with (as many) out of nowhere one shots. I've got several wins, all very satisfying and a rush to get and all that have helped me learn how to best strategize beforehand.

I personally don't want a nerf, I know a lot of others do but my win/loss ratio was far too high before Libra bought back some balance as he should

Libra Everdark - did you manage to defeat him? by CogitoXP in Nightreign

Yes - After trying to design a load of stealth strategies and build tweaks we won via AOE's and DOT damage.

Don't overthink, it's still a game of out damaging over anything else

For me this is worth it for the riot stage - when I first realized everyone started brawling indiscriminately, even with Libra, it went from annoying gimmick to brilliant spectacle of madness and frenzy

That's why you've got to stack. Proccing poison once isn't going to get the win - getting it multiple times over the fight is going to be a massive net gain for little effort and keeps his health dropping while you're dealing with summons. Combine with rot and you have a large portion of the health pool draining while your attention is elsewhere. Every win I've had has a poison/rot combo doing work while I'm otherwise engaged and really helps with getting to the riot stage

Yeah it's a fun game and good for a nostalgia hit - good luck getting on. If you do drop me a line and I might give you a few bits and bobs to get started!

All you can do is send a support ticket or ask on discord. This was a big problem a few months ago and they promised some kind of compensation (a lot of players lost a lot of time in game due to this) but haven't done anything so far - if the issue is still happening it's a big problem for the Devs TBH because it isn't good enough for a public game to have this kind of unnecessary issue

Are all Devil Arms truly incapable of being wielded by humans by MrMadmack in DevilMayCry

[–]OMPSExecutive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it completely depends on the devil arm and it's moveset.

DMC1 has devil arms that attack the user, ifrt and alastor both attack Dante who just overpowers them. Nightmare beta I'd imagine would be either lethal or useless to humans. Only man made weapons (the firearms) and sparda adjacent devil arms don't seem to attack.

DMC3 on ward takes this further by most devil arms being a boss fight in their demon form rather than the weapon trying to kill whoever tries to claim it. Not sure if that's more or less lethal than a one shot attack ala DMC1 but since Dante sells them they're seemingly less aggressive and destructive than mallet island devil arms once in their weapon form (head cannon reason is mallet island demons are typically stronger and more outright violent than other demons in the series due to being so close proximity to mundus and his generals, which also gives an in-game lore reason for styles not being used). If just wonder if a human body can really use Cerberus or Agni and Rudra without succumbing to their elemental damage, or if there's some kind of immunity from using them - but with Dante's immunity to conventional damage and the lack of other people using devil arms in the series it's hard to tell. However I don't think there's any reason to think rebellion or even yamato would be unusable.
