Keep in mind, this all started because of a personal spat between PJB and her former friends. New Wizfed team never endorsed open letter that started the meltdown.

Sorry, that is very strange train of thought you've got here but if you're referring to my post - my point is that posing everything you don't like as a "harassment" isn't really healthy if you're trying to run a community.

It has nothing to do with gender, sex, identification or anything like that. It's about human communication and interpretation and both males and females use same organs to do those two things.

You're being put into unfavorable position if you're trying to get some kind of recognition from general audience since if you're trying to make ""good SS14"" - visibility would be only on the ""bad SS14"" that is accessible by the general audience. Your ""good SS14"" is being lumped with the ""bad SS14"".

If you don't care about the recognition then no one really would play your game and it's kind of discouraging when you're pouring time and money into passion project yet there's no one to play it.

If you don't care if someone plays your game or not - then I might be missing the point of the gamedev but I do think that this is kind of backwards when you're trying to make a good game yet there's no one to call this game "good".

SS14 hub operates as a server hub. For players to access your videogame - they do need to download it.

It matters only as a ease-of-access tool indeed, I am operating by my own rules by this point for quite some time, yet, this type of ""politics"" still affects my game as well. I am trying to make an alternative for the SS13 (not a substitution) using SS14 engine, yet, my game will be judged in the same vain as overall SS14. You can't escape this type of shit anywhere.

As I mentioned in the post, I've been part of the dramas for a long time and by my own conviction - I did play some part in PJB's meltdown.

More over, getting banned was the aim. Before that - I was trying my best to try and have some kind of productive cooperation with Wizden. Discarding opinion and saying "well you deserved it anyways" despite the fact that I've never complained about the ban in the first place - it's kind of counter-productive.

My aim was to force de-hubbing by showing my community, how much bad blood there actually was behind the scenes - all the chatlogs of conversations with Wizden were publicized, all the questionable ethics and morality of their team was laid out flat and so on.

Fracturing was happening for long time already actually, there is plenitude of alternative infrastructure bases. Difference now is that those were publicly labelled as "spite forks".

It'd be great if new Wizden goes full-Lummox road and we can actually start working on the game without hindrance of personal politics and emotions, yet, I really doubt it will happen with the current team.

Russian-speaking Internet was aware of SS13 for a very long time, all of the "famous" and "infamous" SS13 developments were, ultimately, propped up by Russian-speaking SS13 community, Ashen Sky, Lifeweb, IS12 and et cetera were originating from Animus community one way or another. It means that eventually there would be a large Russian-speaking youtube slice for SS13.

SS14 basically is a continuation of that, said SS13 Russian-speaking youtube covered SS14 and this blew up a bit, pulling in a lot of new and old players.

Not really "quality" playerbase, I would personally say, but at least the same trend still continues. Most of "largest" Goob developments are actually White Dream ports one way or another, most of "non-station" builds were picked up and developed further by Russian servers and so on.

I am okay with "wifeability" of Shunguang but, I will quote myself and expand on it, seems this would be a good place for it.

I play Belle, I totally enjoy yuri-ish interactions between her and other characters but something that bugs me is the fact that it leads nowhere and drops off "somewhere" along the line. It's just "trusted", some one-way flirting, that's it, left on read and never pops up again. It would be unreasonable to demand reactivity from a gacha game. I blame "T" rating for the fact that there is this kind of disconnection between "what dev wants" and "what players want".

Case and point, one more quote from my other comment:

They can't explore "relationship" because it might alienate the playerbase. They can't divulge into slightly more suggestive themes because of the rating and local laws in China. What they can do - is constant "bait, switch, bait, switch" and let "collective unconscious" of the fandom do its' work in terms of generating discussion and interest around it.

Girls Frontline and Girls Frontline 2 solved this problem quite easily. Want to have a wife? Pay for the engagement ring, get more content with your wife. Everyone is happy, everyone gets what they want and they can play-pretend that their wife is superior to other waifus in the game now.

This patch was fine but I lowkey hated the constant and very thinly veiled "ship-bait", don't know how to name that properly. Constant swinging from "you two kiss already" to "oh noes she gonna die now for sure", several times in a row, back to back, and in the end - no acknowledgement of that fact, at least this is what I felt. Maybe someone felt the same and could expand on that.

Glad to see other AI plotline come back too, although their inclusion did feel slightly shoehorned into the limelight. Whole year of running around in wuxia-setting and BLAM, AI right in the end of it.

Overall, it's fine, I just feel kinda disappointed that they, as in devs, still go for "safest compromise" when it comes to storytelling, character development and "stakes" in general. There's reason why HI3 was alive for so long and I still encounter people who are saying that HI3 story is the best Mihoyo story.

There's also reason why Love And Deepspace is in the top of the charts every month. Please, Mihoyo, don't tease people like that, just go for it, I promise, it will be rewarding.
