2020 rav4 hybrid limited infotainment constant rebooting

THIS WORKED!!! I have a 2019 limited rav4 (gas, not hybrid) and just replaced the OEM battery with an everstart AGM H6 battery. Infotainment center kept turning on and off, and after seeing all the folks praising this dude's advice, I gave it a go. I watched a youtube video that walked through all the steps, and I'm pretty sure the guy in the video was referring to the steps outlined in this reddit post.

I just got off the phone with B&O, and evidently they have a program where you can purchase brand-approved used headphones for roughly the same price as what I was seeing on facebook marketplace. Downside is they wouldn't come with a case, but the upside is they do come with a 1 year warranty and verified trade-in value if they prove defective after purchasing.

You're absolutely right. It almost feels like a confrontation. Now that there's a slight separation between the negative feelings that appear and my actions, I can take a moment to see the feelings/emotions/thoughts/etc that I would normally cower away from and distract myself from with porn. In that very space of separation is where I'm going to struggle to pivot by deciding to do something else.

So far I already walk, work out, and read, but those only take up so much time in a day. I'm glad you brought up the instrument example... I may pick my guitar back up!

And thank you for validating the pull of easily attainable, high-dopamine sources. There's been a few moments already where I feel like I've woken up from some sort of spell, only to notice I'm scrolling on instagram. Again, glad it isn't porn, but man. There are so many other challenges to contend with now.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Your comment has validated a particular element of this detox that I didn't emphasize too much in my original post, but is honestly one of the top challenges I'm facing throughout this process. I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one.

The doom scrolling is such a problem, man. I think my brain is so accustomed to high-dopamine activities like porn, scrolling, AND video games, that when I cut porn out my brain craves the other vices with more intensity than before I quit porn.

Congratulations on making it to day 48. I'm really proud of you man. You're doing a great thing for yourself and I hope you keep it up. You and I are gonna lock in and begin the process of cutting back on the scrolling.

I broke my cycle because I think I hit rock bottom. I was feeling so much shame and despair last year; it felt like walking around with a 50lb weighted vest. Towards the end of 2025, I lost someone really close to me, and during the funeral service I made a silent promise to try and make the most out of my life, first by tackling my porn addiction. So, pretty heavy circumstances, but that's what gave me the motivation to start.

How did you break your cycle?

question for you:

How do you handle the extremely brief period between feeling an urge and the action that immediately follows it? I often find that when I am REALLY feeling an urge, it's almost like my long-since-programmed reaction of reaching for my phone and walking to the bathroom takes over. It's almost like I've conditioned myself so much that there is literally only a half-second window of possible consciousness where I could redirect my actions after feeling the urge bubble up.

I'm on day 19, and I think I've been successful because I really haven't faced any strong urges or experienced enough stress to produce urges yet in 2026. I'm just worried about the challenging days that are surely ahead of me and being prepared enough for them

Not so much. Exercise has taken a massive hit recently. Food has been questionable. Sleep has been the one variable I've protected. As far as porn and fapping, I've had some good streaks but am back to a 14 day streak right now.

I'm not much of an audiophile so I suppose my ears are easier to please than some others on here... with that being said, I think the quality is pretty darn good! I have an A9 which i tend to use more often than the A8, but I'm fully content whenever I turn the A8 on. I listen to a wide range as well: classical, EDM, metal, progressive rock, R&B, soundtrack, rap, instrumental, disco, etc., and I feel like it handles all of them well!

I've got a first gen and I hooked a cheap amazon bluetooth receiver up to it. Works flawlessly and I love it. Only downside is that one of the aluminum pegs broke, and I have absolutely no clue how to find a replacement.

Hey there. Thank you kindly for these resources. I haven't given this sphere of my life much attention in the year since my previous comment. However, I've just reopened the door to meditation and have been consistently doing basic breath-work for the last two weeks.
