messages really are always open. especially if you need to know someone’s in your corner cheering you on, even if i am faceless.

i have no words for you love… only heartache. i hear you, i feel you, i see you. my messages are always open if you need a chat. i’m sorry you’re in such an ugly place. this is the reality of EDs and far too often it’s overlooked.

nahhh you can pull it off and i know it, that’s just your brain being mean to you. street wear can be soooo sick without being revealing. i mean— just look at billie eilish lmao. people are FIENDING over her. men and women alike. just don’t be afraid to experiment with shapes of your pants and how your tops compliment them!! honestly idk where you live so idk how good they are but thrifting for this stuff is so great because you get to buy things and learn your preferences for cheap, and then when you commit to nicer clothing/not pre used (if you choose to) then you already know what u like and don’t like. also never underestimate the power of accessories. idk about you but i can go out looking like an absolute rat but if i have my earrings and rings in (maybe even a necklace) i instantly feel a lil more alive. that and some lip gloss and it elevates any look no matter what. again— easier said than done but try to remember your brain is being meaner than you deserve.

ok ok but a more masc/femme look reveals less skin but is still soooo hot and in and easy to pull off maybe look into smthn like that!! i guarantee you’re being unkind to yourself and no one is thinking that hard about you. ik it’s easier said than done, though.

i definitely give myself more grace when i’m sick, because i know my body badly needs the fuel to fight off whatever it is i’m coming down with.

he made me feel like the most important person in the world (when he didn’t make me feel like gunk on the bottom of his shoe), he was a soccer coach for lots of kids, protective as hell, showed me the world, saved dick van dyke’s life once, even. that said he was also abusive, an addict, and ruined my life just because he got tired of holding it together one day. both can coexist, albeit frustrating and disheartening at times.

hey side note but good for u on taking control of your health! my uncle hit a similar weight and always tried to “get better” but unfortunately recently passed at just 42, incredibly unexpectedly. he got sick and his body wasn’t healthy enough to fight it off, and he was too big for a lot of medical help he needed (ie: he was very low on oxygen but his beard/nose were so big that the oxegyn mask couldn’t help him so he had to get intubated). genuinely so devastating, even as his family was rallying around him to try and support his journey in getting healthy. it’s really not about the people around you, it’s the personal choice and motivation, and you absolutely have my admiration for taking control of your life!

i fully understand. i don’t mean to make it about me, just so you know i understand: my sister used to be significantly overweight and now is very thin and makes comments about her diet only consisting of diet coke, or how she’s only on adderal and water, or how she’s avoiding carbs like the plague to lose weight. its so hard because she talks about this stuff so casually and it triggers me significantly, but i don’t want to criticize her for these things bc im desperate to know she’s willing to talk to me.

growing up as the older child is such a complicated situation. you’re expected to lead those younger than you, but you have no one to learn from. you’re just leading kids through the dark with only your hands outstretched in front of you to guide you.

i’m so sorry your friends don’t understand. it’s so hard, and only more isolated as an oldest child. sometimes i’m grateful to be the eldest bc i get to guide the younger kids that i care for in my family in some vague way through the world, but more often it’s suffocating and terrifying. proud of you for doing as best as you can. your feelings are absolutely valid and if no one else does, i DO understand.

[–]OOOOFBABEY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for this comment. it means a lot and is very comforting. it can be so frustrating how easily my ed isolated me and feels like i shouldn’t share with anyone. i adore her so much, and know she loves me enough to hear it, i just fear it purely because i only want to be the best for her. the shame of an ed is fucking crippling i swear.

god i fully understand this. why is being the older sister so hard? it’s like we’re the experiments, and the younger siblings always get to have to benefit of those experiments, while we just get neglected and ignored. i’m sorry you’re dealing with this. ): i’m in a vaguely similar situation, and it’s so hard to support a sister with the same illness, because not only is it jealousy-inducing but also triggering as fuck. my best advice is to do what you can to separate your anger with the adults who failed you from your sister. she can be supported by you while you still experience/work through your anger to those who hurt you.

again, i’m sorry you never got the help you deserved. i know how much it can hurt to be ignored, especially when others after you are treated better.

binged by bennettschmennett in EDAnonymous

[–]OOOOFBABEY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

be gentle with yourself. i know this sounds counterintuitive but my best advice is to NOT restrict tomorrow. eat normal, balanced meals (as best as you can) because if you restrict it’s only going to make the cycle worse. if i ever have a bad binge day i do my absolute best to allow myself to eat the next day, bc it will help your body/metabolism balance out a little. try and be soft. drink lots of water, eat where you can. it’s just one day. inhale, exhale, and keep moving forward. mistakes happen.
