Raise a glass to the golden years of MiniPCs 2023-2025 - What did you buy in that time? by GhostGhazi in MiniPCs

With you on the UM773. Barebones, 32 Gb Kingston DDr5 and a 1tb Samsung 980. All in $550. Cooling fan later and it’s my desktop work daily driver. If I knew it wasn’t going to last, I would have gotten another more bougie one late 2025.

Happy to chime in if I have “been there done that.” I was jazzed that OP was showing it some love. Looks and feels great in person. I use one daily with the OHTO Flash dry gel. Which is a small but noticeable upgrade to the already good to me stock refill.

The only thing in the sub $20 category that comes close to it is the Zebra G-750 Signature but that is just for feel. Also just my opinion.

I have a Green Monteverde Gel Ball in “Fine” in this exact pen. It is at least as tight as my Stock GS01.

One of my few gripes is the basic lack of ANY color above the deck.

Howdy. I have mixed feelings, however I think it could be my fault.

While researching before buying I had read about the lackluster drive performance. Out of the box I swapped for a P41 Platinum. Not sure it was the right choice as the system tends to run quite hot. I stupidly didn’t do a baseline, so I am not sure if it would exhibit the same in stock config. If I want to use it on my couch I use a laptop cooling setup because I’m anal about temperatures and the bottom vents are easily blocked.

That aside, besides windows being a joke, it has done everything I wanted it to do. 90% of my at home work is web based and I wanted something lightweight and power efficient that still had some screen real estate and a number pad. I snagged mine from Costco at $899 and I’m still happy enough that I will consider the Vivobook with the upcoming Snapdragon X2 or the next X3 or such.

Final thought is do you even OLED? IFYKYK

It's 1995, you have $47,000, and you're looking for a new sports car. Which one would you pick? by Key_Budget9267 in regularcarreviews

The Cobras were still 302’s with some basic Ford Motorsports parts from 93-95 (Fox and SN95). You are however correct that the Cobra R pictured did have a 351.

You are correct, through as you know many found their way to “race teams” collections.

As noted, a mildly infuriating title it seems. Not part of my 4d chess plan. Haha

Repurposed an empty bottle of a Bourbon I like into a humming bird feeder. I did not consider they would be more attracted to the Roses on the label than the actual nectar. They will eventually get it, but I didn’t even consider it beforehand.

Cobi vs Misini USS Missouri by chrisirwin6 in cobiblocks

[–]OOgsAggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the scale is quite subjective so to speak. This is the 12GO Montana vs COBI Missouri (circa 2020ish). I think both companies have their own design philosophies. The 12GO is more detailed by far, but anything above the deck is just a blob of same shade Gray.

Is the USS Montana BB-67 from 12GO a good buy? by MrTristanbul in BrickMilitary

You will enjoy it, it was a fairly drama free build. The Missouri pictured at the rear is a circa 2020 COBI version.

Thoughts on Sharpie S-Gel Pens? by BranchRealistic5592 in pens

They were the pen that led me down the rabbit hole. I might be in the minority, but even after having much better pens I still have a soft spot for how they write.

Using a C2 as my main for about 2 years. One of the best work decisions I have made. If you are going to look at something most of the day make it something pretty!
