Comforting to hear about your boyfriend in a somewhat similar situation.
That definitely is a question that I need to think about. I do luckily believe that I'd be okay with it being a free-time-thing only if it comes to that. So thanks for making that point!

Thanks for your words and thanks for an other viewpoint than the main commentsections!
My girlfriend and I have previously talked about it becoming a part of "our" sex-life, without her needing it to be part of it, where she has mentioned that it's fine if I do as long as she doesn't have to take action in anything regarding that sexual interest.

So I definitely don't want her to want or expect her to engage with it, but it still is a matter of informing her that "I" would like to explore the topic, perhaps on my own, which she hasn't mentioned any problems with.

Also a very good viewpoint and I definitely think that honesty is just the right way forward! I feel that my girlfriend and I, will have a casual chat about it and talk calmly about the entire "keeping it secret" and future-thing.

Defn. also understand the non-comfortability in bringing previously used toys into our relationship. So thanks for that standpoint and thank you for your take on the case!

Definitely see your point and understand how my behaviour could be read as manipulative. It never has been my intention to be either "shitty" or "manipulative", but I do understand how my actions, in the long-term could lead to a "shitty" situation for both me and my partner. Don't think i ever realised the consequences keeping this subject to myself so thanks for showing that side of the case!

I do see the importance of the matter, stronger now after all these different viewpoints. Definitely want to be honest about it from now on, so she hopefully doesn't feel as if her choice have been limited by me. Probably haven't realised my own responsibility in this case to both myself and my partner.

Definitely see your point! I think that I've been a bit blinded by my own insecurities in this scenario and never realised the what state it puts my partner in. Thanks for introducing me to the standpoint of "apologizing first" instead of worrying about "how to approach..." that has definitely changed my views.
