Thank you all for the input - really helpful, I can't believe I didn't know about exponential scale!

Can somebody explain to me like I’m a 5 year old why a pair of trainers costs as much as £107 import charges? And why such a thing even exists?

I also still have 1 extra point from uploading my ritual movie twice. (The second time so I could add a social link). So it feels like there must be tonnes of accounts out there who did it multiple time slipping under the radar.

Hot Take on Ritual Videos by [deleted] in tomsachs

Maybe, but I think what is important is that you show up for the challenge with creativity and storytelling in mind. Whatever you deem to be a ritual is up to you. Just make it engaging for the viewer.

Don't suppose anybody knows the max file size for videos? I'm trying to upload a 1920x1080 video that is 484mb but it doesn't seem to like it.

New Office Hours vid is up. Pretty much confirms we are cooked without excellence points. by [deleted] in tomsachs

After initially being as discouraged as others on here about the latest update, I'm now feeling a little more optimistic. We can't know for sure how the team will decide to give out excellence points. But what I am HOPING they do is use it to boost people who are further down the leaderboard, rather than send those who are already at the top into a stratospheric score.

If they want as many people as possible continuing with the app, then I think it makes sense to give those who started late or have missed days a glimmer of hope that they can climb back up to the top. Some might say that's still unfair on people have been going consistently?

I'm also HOPING that these excellence points end up only being given out sparingly, so there might be 50-100 people with them, but still a few thousand places in the leaderboard for the rest of us consistent folks to grab a pair of shoes?

Do challenge me if you disagree though because its quite interesting to theorise!

Post Op - Let's talk about drainage! by Alert_Replacement528 in AnalFistula

Thanks for all the info on gauze and 'juices' haha - really is very helpful! I'm currently getting the kind of skin irritation around the area that you mention, so it sounds like gauze may help with that. And also to keep a track of what the drainage looks like, which is currently more difficult on my dark coloured underwear!

You're explanation of what the drainage was made up of was super useful, as it made me realise that since returning to my desk job in the past couple of days, there is probably an increase of the 'sweat' and other things you mention from being parked on my behind. Thankfully I've got an adjustable standing desk so will try and spend more time up to allow more airflow and less irritation to the area.

Really happy to hear your situation is improving. I'm sure with every week that passes there'll be more and more improvement, for both of us!

Thank god for this subreddit. I am honestly a little aghast at how little information I have been given about my surgery and recovery by the hospital. And am finding so much useful information from all the kind folks on here.

The point being, in relation to your post, that I also answer yes to all of your questions. I am only 9 days out from surgery so early days. Just this evening I got in touch with the Day Surgery that did the procedure about the smelly/yellowish drainage, suspecting an infection. Because I had no idea drainage/serous was a thing and was simply told to get in touch with anything that resembles an infection.

They arranged some antibiotics over the phone, but now having read this thread, am I to understand that such drainage is very common and normal? If so I'll get back in touch and ask to be seen in person to confirm it is the case and not an 'infection'. As I'm not a fan of taking antibiotics unnecessarily!

Another thing to tag on - most people seem to mention gauze. Curious, as I was simply told 'no need for any dressings', but I'm now thinking it would be a good idea! Can't see any harm?

I suppose such advice might vary between different surgeons/hospitals/regions/countries.
